I paid out a second mortgage with Alpine appox 30 days before it was due. On my renewal papers it indicated I had a 30 day open period for the 30 days prior to maturity. I transferred the mortgage 30 days before maturity and I was charged 90 days interest penalty. I would have understood 30 days, that would , been fulfilling my contract but a 90 day penalty when it was coming due????

No good services no professional help worst rates in the country they trap you they make sure when they lend you money there is no way of getting out interest rates they gave me were so high that doesn't pay down your principal amount and every year they add renewal fees which at the end of your term let's say is 5$ every year that **** by **** up by 5$ as an example and you keep pay over 150 a month Alpine is a bunch of crooks and dishonest people and missleading and miss informed you they don't know what there doing and they no good help they we'll s**** you over or make sure your stuck paying them until you find the hole amount worse then a street Lohan what these people do is what people on the streets do when they lend you money the owner must be some street kidReview from Anita G

Not only did the process take way longer than it should have leaving us in the lurch when the only reason for even going to a place like Alpine was due to need, when the mortgage was finally arranged, the actual fees charged were substantially more. Would not ever do this again.Review from Josh S

**** **** *** **** ********* ******** ******** **** ****** **** *** ***** *** **** **** **** ****** ***** **** **** ****** ******** ** ***.We paid our mortgage out, and they added exorbitant legal fees, no option to use our own lawyer., and then they add extra days of interest into the payout and wont return it.Their ads online will have you believe the rate they charge is 5.5% when the reality is its over 14%. * **** *** ***** *** ***** **** ** *******Review from Carole T

I dodged a bullet. ***** **** **** ***** *** *** **** **** **** ***** $15k in fees, 13 percent interest rate which will be jacked up to whatever they want after a year as only a 12 month term. Dont do this unless you want to financially choke!!! Reach out to a mortgage broker instead!!!Alpine Credits Limited Response

***;Unfortunately, interest rates have seen unprecedented increases over the past 2 years. This means that everyones cost of borrowing has gone up (including banks and lenders like us) and when we lend money, the rate of interest we charge also increases.We will gladly accept an electronic lump sum payment.Review from Curt P

Good customer service on phone. Prompt responses. Everything else about experience was awful. 1) At a cost to me, Alpine had home appraisal that really undervalued home. (I had an appraisal done 15 months earlier that was 40% higher). Tried to tell me this would result in an increase to quoted interest rate ********2) Told me it was a fixed rate loan. Then told me it would have a monthly interest rate. Ive looked into this and its ******* in ****** to charge monthly on a fixed rate mortgage.3) They wanted to charge service fees that were more than 10% of loan principal.Stay away from this company you can do better elsewhere.Review from Misty N

Theres some lack of transparency on their part that makes their appearance unfavourable as the process goes forward.And with that - they are fully unreachable. *** asked for an update and get ignored.Alpine Credits Limited Response

********** *********** They sent us renewal documents with a 30% increase of payment 3 weeks before renewal, around Christmas, and guy was on holiday. Transferred to another company, way cheaper and the took a payment out when contract was over!these people are thieves!!Review from Jolene W

Absolutely brutal company, I never in my life have had to actually look at loan companies but due to pandemic **** ** **** ****** **** ** ** ** ***. I called and spent 1.5hr over 2 calls and provided the preliminary details that were asked. I was told there would be approx $450 appraisal needed from their people...ok fine and then I was told I would get a complimentary formal quote in my email the next day. No quote, instead I have a lady named Bev that is actually ********** me. Email, phones, texts and I'm talking about all hours of the day including 11pm at night. No quote, following up is one thing being completely unprofessional and ********** ****** ** ******** NO THANKS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY PERIOD
