I completed my child & youth social work diploma in September of 2021, February 17th 2022 they contacted me Informing me they no longer mail cheques for scholarship awards and would require my bank info. I submitted my bank information that day, and still over a month and a half later I have not received my scholarship that I was to be awarded for completing the course. The money was supposed to be direct deposited so should have taken no longer than a week to complete. Every time I contact the school I get the run around and they no longer answer calls or emails.

I have had nothing but issues with this school. My student loans through ** were supposed to pay for my course, and it is short somehow and now the school is saying I have an overdue amount owed. But ** student loans is saying they paid my tuition. School and class personnel change almost on a monthly basis. Just two days after my practicum information session, the person in charge changed. My student assistant person changed four times within the first two months. The website they use for their ****** is a joke. Constantly have issues accessing material for the course. The textbooks that get mailed, mine always came 2-3 days after the course for the week started. Teacher takes days to get back to you, you don’t know your score on assignments, just each course as a whole. They don’t tell you to save your grant money for the practicum (but yet tell you they did). The biggest thing for the practicum for me was the fact that I work full time and the minimum hours you have to do a week for a practicum is 20 hours which extends your graduation date. You don’t even need the law enforcement foundations course to become a police officer, guard, or security person in **. They don’t help you find practicum placements. I’ve been looking myself for my own placement. I have never received a paper copy of any of my program information like I was promised and no idea who to reach out to because it’s always changing. It is so impersonal, they just want your money plain and simple. There is nobody there when you need help and you just get the run around. I am now looking to join a lawsuit and get my money back as I have been ripped off, this “school” is a joke and I will now be failed because I can’t access my textbook and NOBODY is emailing me back. Do your research before enrolling into a post secondary school and AVOID this so called school.

I am rejecting this response because:nobody actually reaches out and when they do, I call back, then nobody calls me back. The person who will call me today, won’t be the same as tomorrow. I want a refund or partial refund for the slack services I was provided by the school with textbooks, and the personnel who do not help when needed. I still have yet to hear from my teacher from Wednesday last week. Maybe he quit too?

      Sincerely,

I signed up for a one-year ******** ********* program with CDI college last spring. When trying to find out the basic information about the program I was pressured to sign up as quickly as possible and when I asked any sorts of questions, I was given no real answer except that this program would be worth the time and money. When our program started our “teacher” just showed us ******* videos and read directly out of the textbook in a monotone voice. *** ******* * ******** ********** ***** **** ****** ******* ** ** ******** To make it even worse, the videos we were shown often said things like “for children. A lot of the videos we were being shown were made for small children maybe 6 to 8 years of age. The content of this program is something that could have been taught in likely a month or two, but they have drawn it our with all sorts of filler material and repetition to make it into a 10 month long program so that it seems like it’s actually useful. Many of the classes were beyond remedial. We had several lessons on how to read a clock, and spent over one month learning math that I learned when I was 7. I did not pay over 10,000 dollars to learn how to do long division. I would not have signed up for this program if I would have known what would be being “taught” As time went on the program got worse. There were at least two weeks where the course page would barely work, and it still crashes regularly, but considering how expensive tuition is for a school that is completely online and doesn’t teach you anything you think that they would at least be able to get a website running properly *** ******* ** * ***** ***** *** **** *** **** **** *** * ************* ***** ******* **** ***** **** **********

I registered for the addictions course. I decided after reading reviews not to go with them. I cancelled my student loans on Dec 17th and informed the associate director of admissions Rahul G******, that I wanted to cancel my registration. He said paperwork would be sent on Dec 20 to cancel. I’ve never received any paperwork. I have phoned him numerous times, text him, as well as emailed, with no response. I have tried contacting the school directly to speak to a supervisor, but again no call backs and the school is never available. I have signed paperwork that states if I do not cancel before January 10, 2022 that I will be on the line for $19,900. I have been trying for almost a month to get this cancelled and have been ignored. **** ** ********** ** ****** *** ****** ** **** * ****** **** *** *********** I need help with this. September 2019-January 2020 I was a student at CDI college I was taking their paralegal course and ended up dropping my course because it wasn’t what I wanted to do anymore. I had a few months grace period where i didn’t have to start repayment, when the payments did start I was making a separate payment for my ******* student loan as well as making a payment to CDI, I got maybe one payment made before Covid happened and all of my student aid payments were paused I started my ******* student aid payment again when they had emailed me to start again, I never received an email from CDI to start payments again, In march of 2021 I finally received an email from a collections agency letting me know they had my account to which I got in contact with CDI because they had never let me know when to start the repayment process, Five months later this July the CDI financial administrator there at the time emailed me and let me know I could finally make payments through them again. I made August and Septembers payments through the school and still have receipts as well . When I called to make my October payment their new financial administrator told me my account was in collections again which I didn’t understand because I had been making my payments, *********, the collections agency called me about 2 weeks ago and let me know they’ve had my account since January last year, I’m trying to get answers from the school on how this happened and why I was lied to and where my payments have went and how this is going to affect my credit if its been in collections this entire time, I’ve been trying to stay updated through email and receive no new information from them and find myself waiting days for a reply and they’ve ignored my emails asking to speak to anyone else to get this problem solved

I am rejecting this response because:This didn’t answer any questions it was a generic response how is my problem with the school getting solved? I have been in collections for almost a year and yet to have someone figure out why my account was sent in the first place and why I was **** to and told I can make payments to the school again only to find out my account is still in collections I paid for august and september through CDI and I still have the receipts, where did that money go if my account is in collections. What is being done to fix this?

I signed up with CDI in March to start with the paralegal course. When I signed up I was told that there was a $7350.00 scholarship with this course, all I had to do was complete 10% of the course and have perfect attendance, which I did . A few months ago I inquired about my scholarship and was told that it was paid directly to my loan. That turned out to be a *** . I went to my student aid online and talked with them to see exactly what was paid directly to the school. The school was paid $22,500.00 of the $27,372.00 for the cost of the course. That leaves $4872.00 owing which is being paid out of my next student loan (for the 2nd year of the course). I applied for my student loan for the next part of my schooling and have an award for $10,900. That will pay off the $4872.00. So where is my $7350.00 scholarship money? They used the scholarship as I sent I’ve for me to sign on the dotted line and then just didn’t pay it .

I enrolled in CDI college in 2020 for an 11 month course to be an Education Assistant. I was under the impression it was a well credited online school which seemed ideal throughout the pandemic. They charged me over 18,000 dollars for a course that can be offered for just over 6. I completed and passed every course with above 90% even though our instructors were changed constantly, we were left with no instruction, basically teaching ourselves through readings and usually being left In the dark. I was told I would be finished everything by early August. I was given the option to do my practicums early however every student must find their own practicum which is absurd in my opinion. Anyways I did it, finished both with potential job offers from both. However now almost three months later no one can tell me when or how I will receive a diploma or any kind of certification. Now all I am hearing is horrible things about this highly unprofessional school and I’m starting to believe whatever certification they do provide me with if they ever do, won’t even be valid. I continue to email people with no real responses to any of my questions and just consistently being told to be patient. I currently have no job due to waiting and assuming I would be certified by the beginning of this school year and my bills can not be patient. I am outraged and cannot believe I am 20,000 dollars in debt due to this absolutely ridiculous school.

I was enrolled in the ** online program at CDI. After being misinformed to the time constraints, I had to quit the program. The financial personnel claim my termination was processed on May 26, 2021. They informed me of my refund amounts, both to student loans and to myself. The email states this should take approximately one month. This email was from June 3rd. I am now emailing a third financial person there and still haven't recieved any information as to the status of my loan. I can screenshot all of my emails, I'm not sure if you want them all attached.
