On September 9, 2023, we brought our family vehicle in for a regular car wash at Shine Auto Wash. During the wash process, we heard a snap on the right mirror. Upon further checking, we found that the mirror was broken and we proceeded to the office area to report the incident. During this interaction, the office staff was not only unfriendly, he was disrespectful and told us the manager was away and there was no form to report this incident. We later found that there actually was a form to file, only after we spoke to the owner's son (****), who happened to be on-site at the time. After showing the broken mirror caused by Shine Auto Wash, **** proceeded to give excuses, but he was able to provide an email address so we could discuss it in further detail. Upon sending this detailed email, **** responded with a blurry clip that was short, claiming there was a piece of tape on the mirror; this was false, as our family car is well maintained, and we just did a major warranty work at ************* dealership; if there was anything needing repair, we would have completed it. We informed **** of this mistake and requested him to provide a longer version of the surveillance clip. To this day, not only has he failed to provide this, but **** completely ignored our inquiry and this includes ***** (manager) and the general email address, which were all copied in the correspondence all along. Following instructions from *************, we have since gone to get a few estimates for repairs. However, the fact that Shine Auto Wash completely ignored our urgent inquiry and tried to avoid responsibility is not acceptable; instead of attending to this with care, they failed to respect consumers' protection rights and neglected to fix dangerous equipment which can harm many more future customers.

I am the manager of the ********* location. I was away on holidays on this day so that is why I was not on site. **** spoke with me regarding this and filled me in on all the details. When the customer came back around to discuss this with **** he noticed that there was blue tape on the mirror. He also noticed there was scratches and ***** taking out of the mirror indicating that the mirror have been damaged from hitting/scrapping a pole (The photos ***** sent in also showed this damage). **** looked at the video and noticed that the car had blue tape on the mirror prior to entering the car wash. We have signs up at every pay station stating we are not responsible for "loose, damaged or after market parts". The car wash manufactures test all their equipment with cars that are brand new and without prior damage. Due to the fact that the customers car was already damaged this is a risk he took when entering the car wash.

I have included a photo of the mirror prior to entering the was and you will notice the blue tape on the mirror ( I have circled it in highlighter)
