May 1st, 2024 $1929.38 Paid in full. Invoice #****GARNER Hired Small Moves Vancouver to move our 800 sq.ft. condo. It took them almost 10 hours with 3 crew. They were not working when I pulled up to the truck at 1:30 pm. They placed sharp objects on leather furniture, broke side table, deeply scratched fire table and dented/chipped other items. They gave all kinds of reasons why it took so long but could not provide sufficient evidence. They were very disorganized and did not have a system in place for the crew of 3. They said they couldnt put the ramp out but wouldnt say why and didnt try to move the truck to a place where they could. They complained about how much stuff we had and that there was men working on the sidewalk pavers in their way when they could have walked through the planters instead of all the way around. They did not pack the truck full and left us many big and heavy items to figure out how to move ourselves (TV, Bike, Fire Table). There was no sense of urgency, they were lallygagging. The building allows 3 hours for the elevator to move and they took well over 5 hours. My husband and I ended up helping them move stuff onto the street so we would not be fined by the building. They had to make an extra stop to drop off a sectional but this stop was not out of the way. I tried emailing and speaking with the Customer Relations Specialist many times but unfortunately she was adamant that my complaints were based on a personality conflict with one of the movers and that therefore was no basis for our complaints about the poor service. I asked several times to speak with a manager but was only allowed to speak with the Customer Relations Specialist. We asked for a partial refund and offered to pay for the gas and mileage but this was refused.
