    ****************. I am not taking the time to voice my "educational" thoughts rather a poor client satisfaction rating based on the customer service the company has, lack there of. My credit card received a charge from this company without my approval. When trying to contact them, their phone line reads the prompt of "please email us". I do not have time to wait for a response from a company who has violated their agreement in charging me before my trial ended. Again, ****************.

    HootSuite claims to have a policy of reviewing refund requests for 30 days, but then will not respond and just ignore and close all support tickets, during this period.I wish I had known this prior to signing up for my 1 year plan in June of 2023 for $108, then received a charge for $1188 a year later (a 1010% increase). To make the situation even worse, I told the non profit I worked and used the software for for about the issue and got them to sign up for a HootSuite Pro plan, thinking this would somehow assuage HootSuite (being that they received a replacement payment for the potential refund), but alas can not get any response from the company, just continued ignoring my requests.

    DO NOT USE! After you request cancellation they don't do it and you'll be charged again the following renewal year. This has been and issue for 3 (THREE!!) years in a row. You cannot remove your credit card information from their site either. It allows you to change the payment method but it won't remove a card. When you call customer service you leave a voicemail without a call back. I'm assuming they have so many credit card disputes they delete your message and don't care. The price increases are astronomical as well... it was $348 in 2020 and now $1,188 in 2024. The only way to stop these thieves is by calling your credit card company and restrict Hootsuite from charging to it. I submitted a dispute with ***** who reversed the charge so hopefully that's the end of the nightmare called Hootsuite. This MUST be illegal. If I could choose ZERO stars I would!

    DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY. Hootsuite will not cancel and refund the charge from last week. Over $1000 for the year. It is impossible to get in touch with an employee. There is no phone number. You get an email saying you are in the queue and I've been in the queue for a week now. I want my money back. I haven't used hootsuite in 2 years. I gave up last year after trying to cancel for months. How much of my time and money can this company waste??? This is bs. How many people are getting ripped off by this lame service? I wish there was a better way of warning people. I'm ready to go to small claims after this charge this year. What else can I do?

    I am beyond disappointed by Hootsuite. The website is very hard to navigate when trying to reach customer service. The only way to contact anyone for customer service is by email, chat, or dm. Note for Sales they have the ability to call you. I find this business practice appalling and disappointing that an organization as large as Hootsuite has no one to speak with in customer service. It is becoming quit obvious why that is. They prey on busy people and hope that they will give up on their attempt to be refunded on any error they may have made.I contacted Hootsuite on April 4th & 7th via email. They replied they were busy and would get back to me asap. That took a WEEK! I called Sales and let them know of course they could not help but **** promised that I would not be charged again. Well that did not happen. I did not hear from anyone until April 11th when I reached out again when I was again overcharged.As of Today April 14th have been overcharged by $1,224.04.April 11th $431.92 March 11th $425.33 - $161.29 = $264.04 February 11th $425.33 - $161.29 = $264.04 January 11th $425.33 - $161.29 = $264.04 For a TOTAL Refund of $1,224.04 I started a trial in Dec 2022. On Jan. 11th, Feb 11th, and March 11th I was overcharged by $264.04. On April 11th I was charged $432.92 which should never of happened.***** did offer me $400 credit. This is completely unacceptable.

    I signed up for a free 3-month trial of the Hootsuite Professional Plan on or around September 26, 2022 with the understanding that if I didn't cancel or downgrade my trial by December 26, I would be charged $588 for a 1-year subscription. On December 15th, I downgraded to the free version of Hootsuite. On December 28th, I noticed that my **** had been charged $588 despite downgrading my subscription. I reached out to both my bank and Hootsuite. I also made a second attempt to downgrade my account. After some back and forth, Hootsuite, they told me that they had no record of alterations to my account status. This evening, I again tried to downgrade my account to a free version and after going through all the steps, I noticed that my account was still of 'professional' status. There seems to be something very wrong with the software - intentional or not. Regardless, it is very alarming. Per my banks instructions, I am not cancelling my account until the issue is resolved. I do not recommend this service.
