On the 26 or 27 of March 2024, I made an appointment for the 17th of April 7:30 am with GlenOak Ford in Colwood BC, for a simple oil change and tires rotation.
That morning the clerk was not very friendly. They did not ask me at what time I needed my car nor offer me a lift to my house, just told me to pick up the car before 5 pm. We are talking about an oil change and tires rotation, max 2 hours labour. A friend dropped me at the shop at 2 pm; they had the car in their possession for 7 hours. I asked the clerk if my car was ready and the answer was no. Now I question how long it take to do a simple service.
At that point the service manager comes out of his office and asked me to follow him into his office. Now the conversation started to heat up, telling me they got the right to keep the car all day if they wanted to, and that it is my fault the car is not ready as I did not tell them at what time I wanted the car. I told him to bring my vehicle and I will go somewhere else, as he walked across the shop with a smirk on his face, come back and threatening me, if I want to bring back my car for service I have to apologize to the clerk. There was only 2 cars on the hoist and no mechanic on site (they have 6 bays). Conclusion, I went somewhere else the next day and in 1 1/2 hours my car was done.
