On 26 Mar 2024 I purchased a 2016 Jeep Cherokee with 99654 Kms on it. The dealership provided a Manitoba Safety Certificate plus an IN transit Certificate for Ontario. On the same day I drove the vehicle to Kenora to be Saftied here. It is a distance of about 300 kms. I took the vehicle to ******* **** *** ******** for it's Safety inspection. The vehicle would not pass a Safety Inspection and requires between $******* and $******* work. The dealership will not respond to my Complaint or that of ****** ******** **** ** ******* I feel they should reimburse the cost for the safety as they sold it verifying it would pass a safety.

On June the 5th, 2023, Winnipeg Honda had my car in for Service. I own a 2020 Honda CRV, The reason I had brought in the Car for service is to repair a squeaky Brakes. They took in my car in the morning, and by lunch time I had a call back regarding the issue and a solution. They offered to change the differential fluid and said this was likely the issue. Also they recommended a "brake cleaning" for an absorbent price that was almost insulting, and therefore I declined the "brake cleaning" service. So after they had completed changing the differential fluid I received a call that my vehicle was Ready for service. Upon pickup I payed the bill, and proceeded to drive away. Immediately I noticed the brakes were still squeeking, and their suspision of bad differential fluid was false. No problem. The bigger problem was that I noticed I had no Air conditioning in my vehicle! Early that day, when I had brought it in the morning, the A/C was blasting out cold air, and I have others to witness this. So now on a +35 hot humid day I was stuck in traffic with no A/C, making for an uncomfortable ride for my Family and I. The vehicle is quite new, so this was a shock to me. I followed up with Honda speaking to the service provider, and that lead the speaking to the manager who assures me they hadn't tampered with my A/C as it wasn't in the area where they fix A/C problems. I wanted to trust the manager, but had my suspsions that during the complimentary car wash a *********** ** ******** employee may have sprayed the condensor too aggressively which is situated behind the grill. So I tried with the Manger to book an appointment, however they told me the next appointment wouldn't be for 3 weeks out! Leaving me in the blazing heat. I decided I wanted a second opinion and had a local mechanic inspect the problem. Sure enough there was physical damage on the condensor causing a small refridgerant leak. So I had it patched and now it works.

      Hi Patrick,

I wanted to respond to your statement. I do agree that not having an air conditioner is very uncomfortable in +30 degree weather. I have spoken to the service team about your vehicle. The work that was conducted was done at the back of your vehicle. The issue with your A/C is at the front of the vehicle. In regards to having a car wash that may have punctured your A/C unit, I don't see how that could have happened.

We wash hundreds and hundreds of vehicles every month. The tools and precautions we take to ensure we treat every vehicle with respect, highly limits us having damaged the A/C unit.

I understand that this can be very frustrating based on timing of when the vehicle was serviced and when the A/C unit stopped working. Please understand that everyone in the service department is committed to their trade and would never want to intentionally do damage to anyone's possession.

I'm in the office if you want to further discuss.

      Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
The manager claims it is not possible to have damaged the A/C while using a high pressure wash or while working on my vehicle. I would like the Manager to have my vehicle in and inspect the A/C and repair any and all damages in honor to their commitment to the customer. Free of charge. I feel like the Manager isn't taking my claim seriously.
      Sincerely,

      Patrick ********

We take the customers complaint seriously. Customer can have vehicle brought into service. We can look at anything the customer wants. Unfortunately, it will not be for free. We have technicians that are paid for their work performed.
