Mr. ****** ******** was contracted in August 2020 to install a retaining wall and broom finished cement in the back yard of my residence. $5760 was advanced for materials with a start date in September. Work did not begin until October. Repeated phone calls were made to Mr. ******** who did not communicate delays, instead just didn’t show up. Through October, no materials were delivered, but the back yard was partially dug up and left in an unusable, dangerous state destroying the existing drainage. No materials were ever delivered. After several attempts throughout the fall to schedule the completion of the project Mr. ******** made many promises followed by many excuses, no money returned. In December 2020 my attorney sent a demand letter for repayment. Mr. ******** requested a repayment agreement as he no longer had our deposit. We agreed to a repayment schedule in January but then Mr. ******** came back and asked for further deferral then stopped responding. A new repayment schedule was agreed to in April but after making a very small payment Mr. ******** responding. A repayment agreement was finally signed in at the end of June 2021 but after one payment Mr. ******** again stopped responding. I filed in Small Claims Court. In August 2021 Mr. ******** was served with Notice of my claim but did not attend the court proceedings. As a result, the matter went to quick judgement and is now an Execution Order with the Sheriffs. Regrettably, this may create additional victims as the Sheriffs may end up serving the execution order on the next person to hire him. Mr. ******** is currently operating as “******* Contracting Services” and, to my knowledge, used also used the following business names (all operating under the same CRA number); - JTB Contracting Group - **** ***** *********** * *********** ******** * *** **********g & Property In my dealings he has also used addresses in Fall River and East Preston.
