I had an electrical issue related to my truck's fuel pump and fuel pump sensor at 23k- gas gauge and fuel pump malfunction on highway- went into limb mode on several occasions, was able to drive truck to dealer- Breton ******-they said no codes came up so they said "nothing we can do"asked them to document it appropriately incase it happened again.. especially incase it happens after the 60k warrenty.I drive alot for work(***************).my truck had 73k on it at 21 months since purchase when the truck fuel pump completely stopped working and i had to flatbed the truck to dealer.-they had the truck 16 days-first 1.5 weeks they struggled to find the issue-they called me told me they capped the Diagonostic and labour at 2hrs2hrs because they really had no clue-another week goes by and they still don't know what the issue was.Day 14 out of 16- they tell me i have to pay for 13.2hours worth of Diagonosticandlabour. Workorder stated:"connector in back of fuel pump modular may not have been sealed correctly makingproper contact, performed road tests with vehicle and working fine now"- No one at dealer or toyota canada acknowledging this as a manufacture issue from plant. I was told by service desk no codes showed up when truck dropped off but then service manager changed storyand tells me that the 23k issue wasn't documented so i should of purchased the extended warrently if i wanted it fixed free- even though work order states- ECU to fuel pump not sealed correctly and once sealed it worked like it should.- no other truck known to have this issue for this make and model- when i picked up at dealer- front service deskstaff wer deceptive to me and instead of speaking to the person who i was for the entire time getting daily updates throughout the 16 days they had my truck(with no loaner or compensation support)-they got the younger associate to pretend he was the one i spoke to all along and he randomly "clarified"i misunderstood him becausehe misunderstood his tech
