    December 21 2023-Attended the business, Hubcraft Timber Mart situated at 209 Pictou rd in Bible Hill N.S and advised I required a prehung door and frame to fit a 36” space. Was advised they did not stock the item and it would need to be ordered. Deposit of $150 was required and same was paid. January 17- I retrieved the prehung door in a cardboard packaging wrapped in plastic from the business upon paying an additional $120.25. April 4- unboxed the door and discovered the item to be a prehung door and frame total of 37.5”. April 5- advised the business of the error and requested an exchange or refund to which I was advised that they would not do so on account that the item was not stocked by the business. A potential solution was discussed involving the business taking physical possession of the item without refund for the purpose to sell it on behalf of myself however I was further advised that this process was usually unsuccessful. I requested a review of the order. Was advised that the order was for a 36” slab which did not account for the additional 1.5” of frame despite the original request that a prehung door and frame was required to fit a 36” space. On account of the item received being of the incorrect dimensions based on the information provided at the time of order and that no agreement, whether implied or expressed is believed to have been conveyed that all sales were final, I feel this business should be held accountable to refund the item for the total of $270.25
