Ordered custom made Canadian made leather sofa and two arm chairs back on March 5th, 2022 and made a deposit of 2000.00. Showroom in Toronto but factory/office in Bolton. We went with Boss Leather as its advertised as a family owned and. Canadian made right her in Ontario. We visited the show room couple time, consulted with the agent who said he was one of the family owners and were told our product would take 3-4 months to make. We were fine with that as we were renovating our house and the time line fitted with the completion date of our project. That put us into July. As there were some delays with our project we didn’t follow up right away. We never heard from them until we reached out in August 3 2022. It took a while to get ahold of someone as were not in any hurry to return our calls. When we finally got a hold of someone they told us that the furniture takes 6 months to build and we were misinformed or misunderstood. Very unlikely we misunderstood. With some back and forth we accepted (no choice) that the order would be ready in 6 months. Which would take us to September. It’s now November 22 and still no furniture. My husband has been trying to get answers with no luck and question that they are even made in Canada. The only thing we know now is their last reply to us was should be ready before Christmas. 9. Months after our original order was placed and 3 months after they told us 6 months to make. We are without a couch and have no recourse. We are very disappointed with their service and lack of transparency. We would like a compensation for the gross delay and are now stuck as if we order from somewhere else we are looking at other delays to fulfill our order. Boss leather has made no attempt or apology to try and rectify the situation and just keep telling us they are working on it. IF you can offer any assistance we would really appreciate it.
