- Advertising Review:
On June 3, 2024, BBB contacted the business regarding claims made on its website and online advertising and requested they be substantiated, modified, or discontinued.
The business makes the following references "NEW WATER HEATERS AS LOW AS $33.90", "NEW FURNACE, AC AND TANKLESS AS LOW AS $44.99",” We provide financing to all our customers if required” and “new air conditioner for your home for as low as $49/month”. Offering credit to consumers comes with numerous requirements which must be met. In addition, if promising financing, all customers should receive what is promised regardless of their creditworthiness or financial ability to pay. All qualifications and terms need to be clearly disclosed in the advertisement.
The business advertises a “Free ECOBEE Thermostat or Google Nest Product with installation". BBB’s Code of Advertising states that advertisers may use the term “free” if certain conditions are met and the offer is temporary. BBB could not locate an expiry date or specific details on the offer.
The business is advertising that they are insured. BBB has requested substantiation of this.
The business has indicated they are fully certified or accredited, they have certified technicians (HVAC and Furnace), and their HVAC installations are certified. BBB was unable to substantiate these certifications.
The business advertises both “Warranties” and “Guarantees” but BBB could not locate any details or where the warranty/guarantee could be viewed. BBB’s Code of Advertising states when using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” the advertiser should clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to the sale.
The business has indicated they are an HRAI member. BBB was unable to substantiate this.
The business advertises “Founded in 2012”, “SINCE 2011”, “over 11 years experience”, “over the past 11 years in business” etc., however, its Corporation documents indicate a start date of December 2017.
BBB requested substantiation for several claims, which include:
“New Water Heater 95% Successful Installation and Repair Rate this Season”
“New Furnace, AC and Tankless 97% Successful Installation and Repair Rate this Season"
“Gas Lines for BBQs and Stoves 92% Successful Installation and Repair Rate this Season"
“Water Softener and Water Filtration Systems 89% Successful Installation and Repair Rate this Season"
“save upto 40% on your water heater bill vs your old conventional water heater"
“If your home air conditioner is outdated or older than 10 years, then it is likely costing you 40-60% on average in energy consumption”
“Our Redemanded Air Cleaners: Will captures up to 95% of pathogens down to .30 micron in size”
“Our Redemanded Air Cleaners: 99% Germicidal rate”
“Our Redemanded Humidifiers: Reduce energy costs”
“Our Redemanded Humidifiers: Up to 34 gallons per day
“Remove over 97% of chlorine present in tap water”
“Provides cleaner air within your home by reducing harmful volatile organic chemicals”
BBB attempted to substantiate these claims independently but were not successful. BBB’s Code of Advertising states that advertisers have a responsibility to possess substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request.
The business did not respond to BBB’s requests.
