2 starsWe bought a sofa bed Nyhamn on August 3, 2024. We paid $1,731,24 that include another items besides the sofa bed. The sofa bed itself was $499 plus taxes. In February 2025, the sofa bed got broken because the slacks (made from plastic) were very weak. I have been visiting the Ikea located in 382 Yonge Street to complaint since the end of February 2025. *******, the manager, saw the picture of the broken sofa bed and decided to help me. However, I was sent to different persons. Then they said that they were about to refund me the money but they only return $$281,37 on April 15, 2025 but the sofa was way more expensive. I need the refund in full because it is not fare that I have not received the full amount so far. *** ***** ** **** *** ***** *** ******* **** ****** ** * ***** The management sent me from the store to Customer Service and then from Customer Service again to the store to dilated time. It seems to be a strategy to not solve the problem properly.Review fromAbdul C

1 starI am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration regarding a recent purchase and its subsequent handling by IKEA customer service team. On January 5th, 2025, I purchased a King Size Duvet Cover set (A duvet cover + two pillowcases) from IKEA Etobicoke store. Upon opening the packaging, I was disappointed to find that the two pillowcases were missing. The following day, January 6th, I contacted IKEA customer service through IKEA online chat system. I explained the situation to the agent, who apologized for the issue and offered either a refund or a replacement. I requested a replacement, and a new order was processed. I received email confirmation of this replacement order and was informed that the earliest delivery date would be January 11th. As there was no sign of delivery until January 15th, I had to contact customer service again via chat for the shipping updates. I was informed that there was an internal issue delaying processing the order and that I should contact customer service again in 24-48 hours for an update. To my complete surprise and utter disappointment, I received an email on January 16th stating that my replacement order had been cancelled. No explanation or reason was provided for this cancellation. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. It’s unacceptable that: • A purchased item was incomplete. • A replacement order was placed and then inexplicably cancelled without explanation. • I have had to contact customer service multiple times for resolution. • I have yet to receive the complete product that I originally paid for. The lack of communication and the seemingly chaotic handling of this matter has led me to conclude that IKEA customer service is severely lacking and substandard. At this point, I am extremely disappointed with the entire process related to my purchase from IKEA.Review fromLiz J

1 starThere are so many things I want to buy on line and for some reason they are mostly unavailable for delivery even from a store minutes from me by car. * ** * ****** I don't have a car, closest store to me by transit is over 1 hour away. I don't want to call or chat with customer service and jump through hoops by providing product codes only to find out the product is available for delivery ( I've done this before ) I suspect at times price may be an issue as these items were available when not on sale and from a store near me (******** Ont.) I'm in between Toronto and Burlington and delivery is an issue? This is not customer serviceReview fromZihao W

1 starThe Ikea delivery was damaged. When I try to contact Ikea for a replacement, they say that they have an internal policy that is not listed anywhere that all replacement requests must be submitted within seven days of delivery. Very disappointed.Review fromJack W

5 starsThe quality of the product (a sofa I bought) is not surprisingly high, but considering the affordable price and other aspects of the product, the quality exceeds what I expected.Review fromIsabel V

1 starI ordered $8000 worth of cabinets for my upcoming kitchen renovation. A delivery was scheduled for mid-December and was cancelled without notification, despite already having paid for the items. When I contacted Ikea to see what was happening with my order, they informed me the delivery was cancelled due to most items being out of stock, and they would have to reschedule my delivery for a month later, despite all items being in stock at the time of purchase. My delivery was supposed to arrive today and again, was cancelled. I even contacted IKEA yesterday and confirmed with them that all items were in stock and would be arriving today. We have already begun demo on our kitchen and have lined up contractors for the renovation, and now have no kitchen cabients to install. When I contacted customer service again today, they first offered to reschedule my delivery for March. When I said that was unacceptable, they said they could reschedule most items for Tuesday (in two days). The item that is unavailable for delivery is in stock, but they have asked me to drive nearly 2 hours to an IKEA far from my house to pick it up. I am still unsure if my order will be fulfilled on Tuesday. IKEA has taken a nearly $8000 payment from me and has not provided me my order for two months.Review fromCam V

1 starWe went to ikea to pick up a Malm dresser. It's over an hour away but we thought when you go to ikea you get a product that you can trust is going to be consistent. We unboxed it and the sides of the wood were all chewed up to the point where you would get splinters in your fingers from lifting the wood boards. I called ikea and they said someone could come pick it up and do an exchange. However, they can only do pickup during a week day and you need to be home from 9am to 7pm that day. They then said they cannot exchange ours because they don't have another one in the same colour. We offered to have another colour and they denied being able to do that. So with a baby on the way we have to wait however long it will take to have them have more of the same colour dresser. Then once they decide to deliver this we have to take another day off work to be here for delivery. This experience has cost us around $270 for the dresser, $30 for gas and two days off work. We also spoke with customer service twice and were told we would get a call back from the manager within 48 hours. Lo and behold there was never a call received. * ***** ********* ***** ******** ** **** ****** *** ******** ***** ** ***** **** **** ** ****Review fromPhilip k

1 starIKEA sent me a sofa bed with missing cushion covers and a missing leather piece. It took over two weeks and they still haven’t sent the two items. I finally called to get them to pick up the items to return them. It’s been over 5 business days and no one has contacted me in regards to returning my items. At this point I’m ready to issue a charge back on my credit cardReview fromRoman M

1 starCame for return and waited in line for 50 min. Lost my patience when I saw that all the people who came 30 min after me were served. Only after I started an argument I was eventually served. All the items I was returning were in original package, but I was ****** by Ikea for about $30 for loosing my receipt. They did not return me my money, but issued a store credit. So, unfortunately, I will have to deal with them again.Review fromYona H

1 starI ordered a new kitchen from IKEA for close to $20,000 on September 2023. I had the worst experience. The finishings and the alignments of the kitchen were in poor quality and off. Wrong cabinet was given and it took more than 2 weeks (including many phone calls and emails) to correct it. Beside the fact that I paid $4,000 for the installation alone to IKEA, the installation didn’t include alignment of the kitchen for the marble top (that was also part of the kitchen purchase) and not the alignment of the dishwasher that was sticking out and lower than the drawers. When I called the customer service of IKEA I was told that it is a plumber job to do so. A plumber needs to connect the pipes only but not to adjust the IKEA product. The installer that came even didn’t want to check if the appliance fit the space. I was shocked to discover from my plumber that the dishwasher that I received was USED. I ordered a new dishwasher from IKEA together with the kitchen so the facing of the door will match the kitchen. The “new” dishwasher smelled very bad and the interior included dirty filter and discolour drainer. The aggravation, the hassle, and lost of working hours for me and the extra expenses for plumber to come back and forth were bad experience.
