I had used this company before. Was so happy with my previous move. The friendliness and helpfulness of the movers was greatly appreciated at such a stressful time. I always was recommending this company. No longer will I be doing that. The salesperson, obviously did not do their research, to let the movers know that I was moving to a 3 floor walk up. They were not impressed. They carried my goods up and "dropped" them on the floor. They broke so many items, I don't even know where to start. They said they could only take boxed items ( I was not 100% ready for this move - my fault), I got it....but they did...and broke even more fragile items. They dropped my box of books all over my front lawn, then threw them in the garage of my old place. I take very good care of my books - * *** ******* Then I located tax folders on a top shelf in my old garage! No care entering rooms with furniture. Put my antique table in the snow - it is all scratched up. ******* ******* **** **** ** ********* Perfect condition, not it looks like crap. Tore off the door on a custom tv unit! We are sorry the move was not successful. We were contracted to move your goods from one location to the next on on Dec 21st 2024 and you were doing your own packing of boxes. In review with my team,when they arrived the packing was not close to being finished. As it was a Saturday our team did their best to help make do with taking what they could. This led to delays and items not being moved as they normally would. As for the table, we did send a claims form to you on Dec 24 2024 but have not receiced it back, If this is returned in the 60 days provided we will fix the table accordingly.S. B.

I did not ask them to move items that were not packed to your requirements. I was going to move them. I am referring to items packed and clearly marked FRAGILE. That were just dropped once they got to my condo. We could go back and forth with this. It was a terrible move! They should be embarrassed. I apologized repeatedly for the fact that I had not had time in a month to pack 20years worth of items. I was embarrassed. They had no care at all that they broke my furniture. Threw tables in the snow. I was not aware that I had to bubble wrap all of my large furniture too! I am working on my claim form.Review fromDiane M

5 starsMy move from Mississauga to Kanata (loading and unloading) went amazing!! Both crews showed up before the start time, they were very ************, friendly, and worked so quickly. Can't say enough how amazing everything went. My experience with moving companies in the past (and I have moved many times) has been horrible. The move with Taylor moving went like clock work, absolutely no worries and stress free, none of my items were damaged or lost. All large furniture was wrapped in large protective blankets. Floor runners covered all flooring. I can't say enough about how well it went. I will definitely be recommending your company to other people and will be using your company for my future moves.Review fromNicole G

5 starsTaylor Moving & Storage moved me from Toronto, Canada to Los Angeles, USA in August. The team was amazing, very professional, knowledgable and efficient. None of my items and boxes were missed or damaged. They assembled my furniture on delivery and were fantastic. Would recommend and will use them in the future. Thank you ***** ****** ***** *** ****. Delivery guys great, but had way too many items broken, I will never **** ********* **** ******* ** use them again. Told I only had 2 months from delivery to submit claim how *** **** do you unpack boxes when you have nowhere to put the items total not acceptable time line, especially just before Christmas. We are sorry you feel that 60 days past delivery is not long enough to file a claim. The 60 days time limit to file a claim is industry practice and is the time frame mandated by both the Federal and Provincial (Ontario) governments. This was communicated to you in bold on both your confirmation letter and the email we sent out with the claim form.Review fromScott M

Prior to my statement for validity purposes I have proof that I've used this service via receipt, documents, and multiple emails with the companies 'Operations Manager' Kimberly B.. ** **** ** *** ****** ******** ******* *********** ** *** ********* ********** ** ** ****** **** **** ** ***** *** ** ** *** ********* ****** ********* I have requested Taylor's services for the purpose of relocating from Toronto, Ontario to Vancouver, BC AND PAID EXTRA TO PURCHASE MOVING INSURANCE. The total charge was $16,829.51 before tax including transportation, fuel charge, origin area service, destination area service, and insurance coverage. On July 26, 2022, Taylor attended my townhouse (three resident's volume of items/furniture). The three employees attended and loaded our items/furniture without issue or damage to the residence (which was sold at this time). Upon relocating to BC, I received a phone call on August 2, 2022 from another employee identifying as a Taylor truck driver, who advised he was at our address in Toronto with a transport truck, ready to pick up our furniture, despite already having our furniture loaded and transported to the warehouse in Burlington, Ontario. The earliest date for delivery was August 17, 2022, which is when a new group of three Taylor moving employees attended our new residence to unload items/furniture. Upon delivery, our door frames and walls were dented multiple times especially the drywall containing the stairway. This is understandable damage when unloading heavy furniture, however being deceived and rushed into signing a delivery document which the truck driver wrote on after I signed the documents indicating "elected not to check off" (meaning I agreed to not conduct an inventory to ensure all our belongings were delivered)Review fromMarla A

I used Taylor Moving & Storage for previous moves and decided to use them to store my household belongings for a year, as we were downsizing and deciding on our next move. After a year, crates were opened and we started to load our boxes and items into our vehicles/van. Everything was covered in a "black dust" and some items were clearly damaged. I was told by an employee that one of the crates had to be opened and repacked because crate was not holding up. Clearly my items were not secured in crate. Opening up the 3rd crate, we saw our sideboards and footboard for our queen bed but headboard (custom walnut wood and leather) was missing. We were told my another employee "no worries, larger items are stored at the back and we wil find it". Well its lost and they don't know where it is nor do they care. Their answer is "contact your insurance company and your case is closed". We declined their insurance because we have coverage on our household policy but problem is whole bedroom set has to be replaced at considerable cost. Our rates will only go up if we claim it. I have a real problem with the large item gone missing in their warehouse. No resolution at all. Also during all this, I was given two picture boxes that were not mine. I alerted them but they didn't seem to be worried at all. I returned them to office as soon as possible. This business is unreliable ******************. I want to alert consumers about storing personal belongings with Taylor Moving & Storage. I even had a chat with one of the owners who was dismissive and uninterested in resolving my problem with his company. We are sorry you were not satisfied with your move.
As discussed at time of booking, mover's are bound by law to carry insurance for $.60 per lbs per article in Canada. Obviously things such as a headboard weighing 60lbs would only have $36.00 of coverage.
It is why movers offer enhanced coverage at a cost.
You stated that your home owner's policy would carry the coverage and you declined this coverage.
We are sorry we cannot resolve your claim for the headboard as there is no coverage but that you have to file it under your home owner's policy.Marla A

I am more than not satisfied with your storage. You lost an expensive headboard and never offered an apology or explanation. Your business practices are some of most ************** I have ever come across. I didn't think I had to get insurance with you directly while I had it with my home insurance. Who would have thought you would just lose items with no consideration to customer relations? I have to now buy a whole new bedroom set thru my insurance at a great cost. You should not be offering storage to customers. I will make sure that I protect others by social media, word of mouth, etc by letting them know my experience with you.
