Two weeks before the renewal date, I started to receive messages from Hostpapa about a vague I/O overuse error, for which the only solution was to pay several hundreds of dollars more for a premium plan. They also invoiced me for this "premium" service that I had never agreed to—an invoice with no details, just a cryptic "service fee" that cost seven times as much as my original contract with them. *** ** ** ************ *** * **** ********** ** **** ******* With the tools available, I was unable to diagnose or even fully investigate the problem they claimed had occurred.
