Now I have a loan at 46.7 % interest and somehow they are still changing more interest on top of the 46.7 %. I have been constantly call to money mart, for someone to look into my account. Everytime I call the representative would tell me that someone would and never did up to this day. Money mart has been charging me for past due payments I don't have, they have been taking from my payments to cover these past due bill I never make. I make payments on time, also a day before my actual due date. I have reached out in email recently and no one since to be taking my issue seriously.

These guys are not here to help Canadians. They want to ruin your credit. I had a delinquent account for a $300 loan. Which I was paying down. Then forgot to make a payment. They offered me to pay $260 to close the account. which I did then the person that contacted me by phone started saying I owe $963... in interest. Even though the email in writing said "final payment to close account" there was no other fee's on this email. then on the phone they tried suckering me out of like $1000. They said they would send out a email informing about this payment and how to pay. I have yet to receive a email. ******* **** **** ***** *** the $260 was the final payment. There is no $963 due.

They consistently were unable to find supporting documents provided with my loan application on a number of occasions. Because their app and website don’t show you as having provided the documents, the loan process sits idle. Their online e-signing doesn’t work, so the application says the loan agreement is signed, but then later says it has not been signed. Their customer service text message system with “live agents” use identical, boilerplate responses (same typos and all). If their answer doesn’t solve the problem, no help is offered. Overall, their online system is flawed *** ************* ******* given that personal supporting documents seemingly go missing. I question whether their customer service isn’t just an AI. i have had the worst experience with money mart Canada there customer care is absolute worst i have caught them ** ******** **** promising you will get funds soon then you phone the next day and a different person says no it will take 48 hours this is only one lie out of 5 i have caught them in. this is extremally disappointing and frustrating. i hope by writing this as a caution to people that are planning to use money mart .

***************************************** I paid off my loan and they are still taking money out of my account even when I have a stop payment on it. When I called they basically just laughed at me. I opened another checking account and closed the other one, had no choice. My goodness.

Money mart has me on file for a loan that I never took out. They were deducting money from my account and that account has never seen this supposed loan that they claim I took out. It was for a $10000 loan which has since racked up interest. Clearly there was some sort of fraud going on which I never noticed as I was extremely sick for over a year. Money mart has since had loan collectors ********* me and every time I try to get a hold of their customer service I am met with runaround and this issue has still not been resolved. Maybe this review will get their attention!

Took an installment loan with repayment over a 24 month period with automatic withdrawals. Was informed by both written and verbal that I can repay the loan early if I choose to. You can't pay off the loan on the Money Mart App so I came in store. The receptionist/loan sales associate said: " U can pay off the loan but why not just continue with the automatic withdrawals for the remainder of the agreement?" They continue to try to deverte me from paying off the entire loan saying I still have to pay the balance, plus all intrest even for the months/years as set out in the agreement. Suddenly the numbers they are demanding are ridiculous. On paper I owe like $6000ish for the principal and interest etc. But no Money Mart is talking like more then 4X that...which makes no sense as I have the agreement in writing for the amount that I agreed to. All Money Mart locations I tried will not let me close the loan and the staff with hide in the backroom, make up excuses ***********************************, with malice aforethought, committed in objective bad faith. I, while acting in objective good faith attempted to honor the written and verbal agreement that payment can b made and close before the due date but Money Mart will not accept my money. So, I close my bank account, considering Money Mart isn't interested in me paying off my loan early. They, by both action and inaction have made it evident Money Mart doesn't want my money on my terms and there's as made evident in the written contract. Therefore, Money Mart is in breach of contract and has voided the terms and conditions nullifying the loan in it's entirety. Therefore, all agreements between I and them, are null and void. Funny how that is right!
