    I have had 10 leaks so far, 2 in living room, 1 in ensuite bathroom, 4 along one side of house because they left holes in the shingles when they attached scaffolding to put on siding, 1 at stairs ceiling, 2 in Master bedroom. We contacted mattamy so many times they told us we were blacklisted. Contacted ****** and were told none of this was structural. We have had to replace electrical sockets because they shorted out. Our bathroom mirror lights are detaching, All of our windows need replacing, again...no contact from my dozens of emails and calls to mattamy and ******. We now have new windows that have to go in at our expense, all of the previous windows were put in crooked and will not latch fully, not to mention the latches on most have broken. We have drywall cracks in every room, our floors are buckled............ We have given up trying. We have paid roofers 4 times to come and fix problems with the roof, out of our pockets. We also had to replace every appliance within 1 1/2 years of moving in, yes...they would not work or were faulty.

    Let me begin by assuring you that Mattamy Homes is aware of your concerns regarding your property at ********************* and we are committed to addressing them. We understand your frustration with the issues you've described and want to clarify our position and the steps we propose to take.We have reviewed your BBB review and unfortunately, our internal records do not align with the claims you have made.Our records, however, do not contain any service requests or email correspondence from you detailing these leaks or requesting repairs. The last communication we have on file from you was in March 2021, regarding cabinet contact information, and prior to that was correspondence in 2020. We also have no documentation of being told that you were blacklisted. Instead, your house is outside the Tarion *********** better understand your situation and facilitate a resolution, we require further information. We request that you provide:Dates of each reported leak and repair issue.Service request numbers (if any) for each reported issue.Names of Mattamy representatives you contacted, along with dates of contact.Any documentation from Tarion. Once we receive this information, we will conduct a thorough investigation into your claims.We understand your frustration and are committed to working with you to resolve this matter.     7 year old Mattamy house has had many water leaks from the outside. Xmas week 2024 water leaked rom the family room ceiling. I hired a roofing contractor that day to check out the roof after i went into the attic and found the roof sheathing was totally rotten with the underside of the shingles plainly visible. The contractor removed shingles and found the 10 inch hole under the shingles. The flashing was never completed which allowed water to run under the shingles. I contacted Mattamy which they responded that the roof warranty has expired. It is quite obvious by the pictures I sent them and by the Mattamy rep's comment that this leak has been going on for many years. Still, Mattamy refused to take ownership of the damages this leak has caused, roof repair, insulation replacement, drywall and painting. Think twice before purchasing a Mattamy Home. Very poor workmanship, my house can atest to that. One star is too many

    In my experience, the builder provides a poor quality of work, sometimes bordering on unsafe. This has included exhaust vents being sided over and live electrical boxes being dry walled over, creating potential fire hazards. These issues had to be found by the homeowner. They will also push for items to be avoided on Tarion filings, state they can't be added because they haven't been completed, or provide verbal confirmation only, placing the homeowner in a situation where they may not be covered. Fixes to issues identified tend to be sub-par if they are addressed at all. The company seems to be focused on tiring out the homeowner on items that fall below building requirements by addressing them quickly and poorly, or not addressing them to the point the homeowner addresses them.

    One start is more than enough. I hope there is "Zero" scale I can give (even zero is still more than enough).This builder is the worst builder I ever experienced. Their new-home repair service was horrible and I got water damaged three times right after I closed my home and there were so many big issues with this home. I thought that would be it but the WORST and Terrifying part came up couple weeks ago with property tax.My closing date was March 18th 2021 and Mattamy put my name as the entire block owner (townhouse 6 units) in year 2021 and it seems like I paid rest of 5 units property tax for the year 2021. I asked Mattamy for the readjustment and pay out the exceeded amount. They just gave me the number that doesn't make ANY sense with no evidence how they calculated. They just emailed me that " This $$ is the amount we owe you and please verify the cheque receiver name and address" that was it. I don't expect any compensations I just want to know how they calculated that amount and why they put me as the block owner.They never say Sorry or anything and that attitude makes me ****** off. I really don't understand why I have to go through this experience because of Mattamy. This is absolutely Mattamy's fault and I regret to purchase this home. I can't even trust them anymore even though they give me the correct number

    Let me begin by assuring you that Mattamy is aware of Ms. ****** situation and made every reasonable attempt to resolve her concerns amicably and continue to work with her on her concern about the Land Tax bill.  You will see from the account below that ********************** acted fairly, lawfully, and ethically with **************

    At the time of closing Mattamy takes a portion of land taxes which works as a blanket and Homeowners' lawyers are communicated that they should reach out to us once they receive the Tax from the city so that we can run our numbers and pay out the owed amount to the homeowners.

    The first time ************** reached out to us was on September 5th, 2023 and since then we have been working with her and will continue to do so.

    To clarify, for the record, currently, this is still pending because ************** is in disagreement with the amount which the Mattamy Finance team has calculated and thus we are asking for more clarity from ************* as to why she thinks that the calculations done on our end are wrong.

    In closing, I would like to reiterate that Mattamy will continue to work with ************** to resolve this issue.

    I trust this addresses the complaint brought forward by ************** and documents our efforts to resolve this issue.  Please let us know if you need anything additional, we are happy to assist.

    Terrible quality. *** lived in my home less than a year and have had many issues. Recently, I went to update a faucet in my powder room. In order to do this we needed to remove the pedestal base of the sink. The actual sink should be attached safely to the wall and studs with two wing bolts. However, Mattamy installed mine with only one into drywall. This meant that when we removed the pedestal to access the plumbing, the entire sink fell off the wall and hit my dad in the head. Extremely dangerous, and we are lucky that no one was injured. Mattamy customer service has been nothing but useless, and instead of acknowledging that their poor installation created this issue, they blame us.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback. We have reviewed our service records and discussed these concerns with Mattamys, **************** Manager.  I am pleased to provide the following reply on behalf of Mattamy Homes.

    Mattamys Warranty Managers have been back and forth in the house and the warranty team has investigated the incident at the ******************* thoroughly.

    Our team's inspection concluded that the pedestal sink had been removed incorrectly by the homeowner, who failed to remove the top sink bowl before attempting to remove the pedestal stand it sits on.
    In light of these findings, the homeowner has been informed that this incident is not a reflection of any fault on Mattamy's part. And therefore, it will not be warranted.

    Terrible builder who doesn't care about workmanship. Roof leaked and damaged the second floor and first floor ceiling. Stuff still not done in the home after 6 years of purchasing. Poor customer service.

    In review of our records, it appears there was correspondence with our *************** back in 2018 surrounding the concern of the leak. Our team worked together with the homeowner to schedule service appointments to have the repairs addressed. There was a couple other items noted at the time of needing to be addressed and a date of Nov 22nd, 2018 was provided and confirmed with the purchaser. Based on our records, the home closed April 2017 and our last email correspondence with the purchaser was Nov 2018 when final work was scheduled to be addressed.

    Poor workmanship on masonry work. Design flaws not addressed and glossed over. Ceiling light crashed 5 feet away from my head. Would never buy again. Technicians difficult to work with and bent on making excuses or blaming someone else (customer) for poor workmanship, design or material. Avoid.

    Terrible, I had purchased a home from a company that Mattamy (************* 2) purchased hoping for the same experience that I had with them. It's unfortunate, but they didn't take any of the great experience/lessons from that company that I had, I've been in my home for 3 years now with an item still not done from my Pre Inspection Delivery. ****** is no better with helping to resolve the issues, I honestly would suggest looking at other builders, when you consider upgrading any items, you'll be paying just as much as the other builders are charging for standard upgrades you will want to make.One of my neighbours paid to have another contractor go into their home to repair all the issues, so let this be a warning for all looking to purchase a Mattamy home, once your home is completed, the chances of getting work done later will be minimal to none. They will provide you with dates to complete the work, or advise you they are looking to get someone to make those repairs around the time Tarion is looking for updates. Do me and yourself a favour, let ****** know the work isn't done even a few days before as Mattamy has NEVER shown up or made an appointment after that date with me if you own a Mattamy home.I lost a 1 year of work (and pay) because I wasn't feeling well and thought it was part of the covid scenario only to discover it was from the stress of dealing with the issues of this house.For your health and sanity, I'd buy from any other builder.

    I had my new home pre delivery inspection in ******.OMG!such a s***** job with Unprofessional worker.Every corner every wall And installed horrible Most of.Can't sleep with regret And anxiety since that Day.I don't think my new house fixing as what I want to.already thinking moving out that house.Sad~~~~

    I bought a house during the pandemic. Although there were hiccups along the way, it all seemed to be worth it when we met a builder who went above and beyond to ensure our issues were resolved. If it wasnt for builder ********************* our 5 star review would be anything but 5 stars. We had multiple people come through our doors to help fix issues we were having but only one person who knew what to do take charge and make this experience worth it. I would like to personally thank ************* for his dedication into making sure his homeowners were satisfied.
