London Hydro Response

London Hydro deeply understands how not having power can impact your ability to work from home. On Saturday May 21, 2022 a major story went through London and many other parts of the province causing catastrophic damage. Extreme winds caused trees and tree branches to fall which in effect damaged much of London Hydro's distribution infrastructure. Additionally, the storm damaged private customer connections to the London Hydro distribution system that required private contractors to repair. While the storm was extreme and outside of our control, London Hydro responded immediately to restore power as quickly as possible. We thank you for your patience and support through this event.
So you know, London Hydro declared a "state of emergency" immediately after the storm passed through and crews worked tirelessly to restore power to all customers in the safest and most efficient manner.
Customers experienced varying restoration times due to the magnitude of damage that caused the outage and our ability to restore power safely. We appreciate the impact it had on the city and to customers like yourself.
