    I'd like to start off by saying I don't believe I've ever taken the time to post a negative review before, and am generally inclined to give people the benefit of the doubt. We have a house full of renovations with various contractors going on right now and despite many challenges I have nothing but great things to say about each of the companies we've chosen to work with, with the exception of this one.

    We hired them to extend a brick fireplace from half height to full room height. The owner, ****, confirmed he could get the same brick but not a color match which makes sense because it's 30 year old brick and even lot to lot there's variation. Since we were painting over it we said we weren't concerned about the color as long as the brick was the same.

    Many weeks after quoting and confirming our interest in proceeding with the job **** and his team came to do it. At no point before unloading and starting to prep for the job did he mention that the brick he had was in fact not a match at all - a completely different cut and profile - and they weren't even sure they had enough to do straight edges along the outside of the fireplace. When we became aware of this we declined to have them complete the job that day as they intended to use product that was not at all what we had agreed upon.

    Unfortunately they did not confirm that this product was acceptable to us before purchasing, coming out to the site or beginning to prep. I feel poorly that results in cost to their business however I also feel strongly that it's not due to an error of ours.

    I subsequently received an invoice with no details for $300, which I declined to pay since services had not been rendered and it was not due to fault of our own, but a lack of communication or due diligence or whatever you want to call it, on the part of the company.

    I've included pictures of the entirety of the email interactions between myself and the owner on a***** review. The owner, ****, was insulting, attacking my character and threatening to post our personal information if we left a negative review. He said he'd done it previously and wouldn't hesitate to do it again - which strikes me as odd because all of the reviews are positive, so has he intimidated other people into not posting their negative feedback altogether?

    It has been an entirely senseless, stressful ordeal. I now feel unsafe that they know where we live and are willing to threaten the release of my and my families personal information.

    Nothing about this company was professional, I'd warn anyone looking for masonry work to stay far far away from this company.
