1 starBought a new Niro EV EX may 2021 with 10 km on the odometer. I now have 43000 km may 2025. Kia Canada informs me that my warranty will be up in October 2025 as their records say it was on the road in October 2020. I have my sales contract from the dealer and the dealer has informed me that my warranty is good till 2026. Kia Canada will NOT honour my purchase contract. Not good service.Review fromDonna B

2 starsFor the last week Kia Canada had a very happy customer in me. I bought a brand new Sportage PHEV and I do love it. I completed the survey, praising my salesperson, which was deserved. I gave them a 4 out of 10 for their facility. The building is crumbling and the parking lot needs potholes to be filled and a repaving. That has ZERO to do with my sales guy! Ding the owner, not my guy. Ridiculous, and now, I don’t get my all-weather floor mats. ***** **** ********* ****** ******* **** *** ***** ** *** ******* *** ****** ** ****** *** ***** Double ridiculous. It’s a shame they’d turn a happy customer into an unhappy one due to their mistaken interpretation of the results of their own survey. **** ** ******* *** *********** ** * **** ** ******Review fromKristy W

1 starI have had repetitive issues with my Kia Carnival. *** *********** has been trying to fix it but without any results for the last 6 months. My vehicle has been there for over a 12 days now and I have been refused a rental vehicle and no estimated time for resolution. I get no response when calling *** *********** in the day and often have to get a ride there to speak with someone about the status of the service and Kia Canada does not respond to the tickets I log with their customer complaint department. On a daily basis, my Kia Carnival loses all electrical safety features - no safety cameras, no spedometer, no gas mileage, no air conditioning, no power windows, no presets for seating, no indicator signal and the list goes on. I can be merging lanes or turning left and all safety features cut out. Kia Canada is aware and seems not to feel that it is an issue worth resolving and ignores my requests for support. I do not recommend **** ********** ** ****** **** KIA.Review fromClive G

1 star***** ******* ********** ************** *** so called front to back 100,000 km warranty. I was told by the salesperson in ********** that it covered everything. After only 3 years the seams of the driver seat are separating. The response I got was "we don't know how you drive your car". What ****** has my driving habits got to do with the seams coming apart! I requested a repair a few months ago but kia said they won't fix it. So I attempted to fix it to no avail and it has gone from 1" to about 3" damage. If they won't fix something like this that must be a defect imagine what will happen when something mechanical or electrical goes wrong. * ****** *** *** ** ********* *** **** *** ** ******** ** ****** ***** **** *** ****** *** * ****** ** ** ********** ** ******* **** **** ** ***** **** *** ** ***** *** I was promised again by the manager that they would put another request in to Kia* ** ***** *** * ******** ******* *** ********* * The manager suggested that they have a repair guy in ***** but that I would have to flip the bill for this repair. *** ********* **** *** **** ******** ******** **** ******* ** * *** ********* ******** ***** *Review fromKelly R

1 starDisappointing. Purchased a 2017 Kia Sedona SX in 2017. In January 2024, at 150k kms, the transmission started making a whirring noise and needed to be replaced. ** *** ****** ** ******* it is April 2, 2024 and the transmission has still not arrived at the dealership. The ETA is April 22, which may be pushed back. No replacement vehicle has been provided, so my family has been without transportation for nearly 3 months!Review fromM. B.

Very unhelpful! My Kia Optima 2011 has an engine failure I drop the car off at Kia ********** 24th Feb 2024, I had to wait a whole week for a test to run on the car. This test was done on the car 6th March 2024 the result sent to Kia Canada claim team. They refused the claim for replacement engine. The reason is the car did not fall under the warrant or giving the code for a new engine. Kia ********** asked us to plead our case with Kia Canada which we did for 2 1/2 weeks. Only to found out on the 20th March 2024 that our case was close without any acknowledgement. Kia Canada asked us to go back to Kia ********** to speak with the service manager. The service manager told us there is nothing he can do and he wouldn't put a new engine into a 2011 car. Even thought the car is in excellent condition. I was upset knowing Kia is aware that their vehicle has engine issues. The service manager offering a quote for a 2nd hand engine for $5000 to $6000 plus service. This is my 2nd Kia car I purchase from them I brought a new 2014 Kia Rio in 2014 and the engine fail 2023. I felt the service manager could have do more to plead my case with Kia Canada. There staff @ Kia ********** kept saying we should talk to manager at Kia Canada. I felt push around so much by Kia Canada and Kia **********. Kia needs to treat their customer better. I have no car and not able to purchase even a 2nd hand car.Kia Canada Inc

Case ********. RE: 2011 OPTIMA SX TURBO AT Dear ****, The extended (Lifetime) warranty specific to your VIN is specific to connecting rod bearing wear ONLY. As per the process, the dealer performed a Bearing Clearance Test (BCT). The vehicle passed, which indicates the concern with the engine is NOT related to connecting rod bearing wear, and therefore not eligible for engine replacement. As a result, Kia Canada is unable to meet your expectation for financial assistance towards the required repairs.M. B.

I am please someone replies to my comment here. No one at Kia Canada acknowledge any of my message left on their portal. We were aware of the criteria of the warranty covers. Since there were a recall on the engine 2019, your team decided to submit a claim. Once it was turn down, we were advised to call Kia Canada and pleading my case. What I found ironic it turns out that I was wasting my time calling Kia Canada and leaving messages in their portal. It turns out that the service manager @ Kia ********** is the one who should put in the good word. The guy looked at me and stated I wouldn’t put a new engine in a 2011 car. Sorry, there is nothing I can do for you this is after 3 weeks. Why didn’t he stated that originally why waste my time? It was your team who stated that Kia Canada normally declines claim, but if you plead, they will approve. Kia Canada recently approves a case for a customer who have been pleading for 3 months. So, your comment stating “Kia Canada unable to meet my expectation financial assistance for repair”. Times are hard and yes it would be great getting the assistance, If I did not adore the car, I wouldn’t bother I would trade in. Also, for 2011 the car is in a great condition. Anyone in my circumstance would be upset if you love something and you lost it. It is my 2nd Kia and the engine fail. It’s the whole hypocrisy from the beginning. Sometime it’s good to treat people with some empathy and compassion.Review fromJulia M

1 starI bought a Kia Sorrento in 2022 it’s a 2021 and had nothing but issues with it. They’ve had it for over three months and multiple other times for more than a week. They’ve completely replaced the transmission. The windows won’t go up and they’re saying that it will be very expensive to figure out what the issue is. The hatch is having issues. The transmission is having issues again after they replaced it. There’s a piece of trim that’s been coming off since I received the car and they keep telling me they’re waiting for Kia care to get back to them. I emailed them to Kia Canada and they said they cannot assist that the dealership has to help. * *** **** ** ***** **** * ***** *** ****** *** *** ******* ** ******* *** ***** ** ****** *** ** *** *** ****** ** and they didn’nt to assist me in anyway to get out of the deal. They told me it would lose thousands of dollars for me.Review fromShelly C
