When asked if we could take our vehicle home, they said the lot would not allow us access. Called the lot, and the lot said we could have access but the insurance company had restricted our access. As soon as the insurance company gave permission we could come pick up our vehicle. Insurance company said they only could tow our vehicle off the lot, if we dropped our claim. But that it would have to sit their for 3 months while they determined who was at fault. Insurance company said it would take 3 months to get a police report. I can get police reports in 3 days. *** *** *********** * **** **** *** ********* ******* ***** *** ******** ***** ***** ***** ****** ****** ********* *** deliberately restricting our access then ***** that it wasn't them. ** *** ***** ******** **** **** ****** As a result we are left in limbo, as they said they can give us no details about the damage to our vehicle until they determine who is at fault. (3 months from now) E-mail requests have gone unanswered, and speaking to different people have different excuses, while nothing happens. Also, they are required to give us a rental on day one *** *** **** but they have also refused that. **** *** ********** ********** **** ** *********** ** **** *** ********* ******** *** *** ********* ******* **** *** ****** ***** ************* ******** *** **** *** *** **** **** we can get our vehicle assessed where we want. They unilaterally downgraded my coverage to third party from full coverage on the basis of one conviction. I can understand a driving conviction may impact the probability of accident but to remove theft and vandalism is absurd. I was with the ******** for over 10 years and had my policy cancelled due to non-payment, the only issue I had in those 10 years ******** ** ******* The process to re-due my auto policy was so frustrating and filled with mistakes on their end, no communication, and every time there was an issue with a document or any uploads instead of being able to correct the problem or submit or change or update a piece of information they make you start from scratch and wait another 10 days, with no communication and if there is an issue they make you start from scratch again. I have been working on this for almost a month and still have not resolved the issue. no loyalty, lack of communication there admin system seems ancient. in the 10 years of being insured, I had zero problems and had recommended them to others as I had a great experience but this has been so frustrating that I will be using a different company moving forward.The Personal Insurance Company

I've been with the personnel for many years and no claims were filed until this September 2024. My condo experienced water back-up from the laundry drain. I filed the claim on Sep 24th and sent the restoration company's report to the Personnel adviser Marisa.S.-my claim advisor on September 27. Since then, I have tried to call Marisa, left a voicemail, and emailed her many times (I have all the records), but I barely hear from her, no communication or updates on the status, no resolution, until I emailed her ** ****** *** **** * ********* ******* *** *** and personnel senior management on Nov 8. She responded, "We are continuing to investigate the matter," but aside from my efforts to contact her after a month and a half, no action has been taken. Without proper repairing of water damage in a timely manner may result in further damages and increasing costs. I expressed my concerns to Marisa via email but received no response. As of now, I'm not sure what else I could do to get their attention for my case, ******* ****** * *********. This morning, I called her again and left a voicemail. I can't believe this is how the Personal insurance company supports and protects its customers in such circumstances. I am hoping to get ********** ******* *** *** ******** to resolve this issue in a timely manner.The Personal Insurance Company

I have had nothing but great experiences with The Personal. I had two collisions a year apart (first in 39 years of driving). They were more than fair in paying me out for my vehicle write-off in the first collision, and provided excellent customer service on the second while I was getting my vehicle repaired during covid (very difficult time to get parts). Shortly after having signed with the Personal we received a notice (please send me a copy of that notice as I must have misplaced it) from The Personal to provide our driving history in Canada setting a deadline of 30 days. We are a very busy family with my working day longer. ** *** ** **** ** *** ** ****** ****** *** ***** ******* ********* ** ***** ****** I have been 26 years in Canada and it was only the 1st time ever an insurance company requested our driving history records. Considering our circumstances it took much longer to obtain the required documents and I did notify The Personal on the due date that I was still working on that. It took me time to figure out how to request the required documents. The Personal did not provide detailed instructions on how to obtain this document. The Personal never notified me that if the deadline of 30 days is not met, then there would be an extra charge. At this point I'm not sure if the Personal charges me for not meeting the deadline or because of inconsistencies with our driving history records. We believe The Personal should have requested our driving history from the Ministry of Transportation on their own and charging us for this service. The Personal should have advised prior to our signing with them that they have a practice of requesting the driving history records from the Ministry. We believe The Personal should have advised that in case the deadline is not met they will charge us extra. All in all we have experienced very poor customer service with a not appropriate charge of $213.00 and believe this charge should be credited.The Personal Insurance Company

They are very prompt about customer needs and I currently have my house, car, truck and 2 motorcycles with them for $312/month total. Over the course of a year the personal’s agents, being our assigned adjuster and her manager, made every effort to deny coverage. ** *** ** ********* ******* **** ********** *** ***** ***** **** * **** ****** *** **** * ************* *** *** ****** **********, *********. First, they denied the claim on the basis that because it was our neighbour’s fault, they don’t give coverage. Then they switched to denying the claim on the basis that they weren’t responsible for fixing the wall (because it was not on our property) and therefore no coverage. The entire time they refused to subrogate the claim against our neighbour on our behalf, despite that being what ought to have occurred. When challenged to explain how it can simultaneously not be our fault, and yet no subrogation against our neighbour (who they maintained was at fault), they changed their basis again claiming that the whole issue is outside our policy. Was looking to cancel my home insurance policy, company auto renewed without proper notification. Customer service agent was very rude and refused to wave the "cancellation fee". Did not notify me of a failed payment due to my bank putting a temporary hold on my credit card, and immediately sent me to collections for a measly $30. We have reviewed call between agent and client on November 10: I can confirm that agent was very professional and provided excellent customer service. Mr. ***** called to cancel his tenant policy after his policy renewed because he found a better rate. Typically, client would be responsible to pay a cancellation fee in this situation, but the agent offered to waive the fee as a customer service gesture. Client was made of aware previous payment did not go thru; Mr. ***** explained this bank had placed a temporary hold on his credit card. Agent explained amount owing up to the cancellation date.
