Today I went to the Mini dealership on **************. My drivers door was squeaking when I opened it and it looked like a quick fix me. I had already booked a wait appointment but I felt that it was something that needed quick attention to avoid the hinge and bolt breaking. The service ****************************, addressed me as soon as his phone call ended. I explained the problem and the technician, ******, knew exactly what needed to be done. They offered me coffee, asked for my keys so that they could bring the car into the service garage. I got my coffee and was settling in to look at my email and before I had me first sip of coffee, ****** returned with my keys, explained how they fixed the bolt. The car was parked right at the door, out of the pouring rain. They were so respectful and polite, not to mention efficient. What wonderful customer service!

Mini Ottawa has a very bad service department. First, the front desk receptionist is not competent. They have only a few customers but they made mistakes on the order of the parts and invoices. They made mistakes twice in a row and didnt even apologize. When I found out, they tried to lie and blame the shipment made this mistake. The worst part is the service manager. When I dissatisfied with the front desk and asked to talk to the manager, the manager didnt even investigate the issue and try to just repeat what the front desks lies again and try to fool me. Now I understand it is the entire culture in the shop that they dont even care about their customer service and treat customers like a fool. They dont have good monitoring system and when issues happen and just fool the customers. I really think the headquarters should replace the manager and provide the appropriate training to their employees. If this is the entire culture of Mini ******, I would suggest all the future customers to stay away from this brand because they do not treat the customers seriously.

My review deals with before sales treatment? I was looking for a smaller car than my 2018 Equinox, so I looked at the Mini Ottawa web site. One car caught my eye because of the year 2019, price $27,495 and low mileage. Went right away and took it for a test drive on Monday May 2nd. Loved it! Was told certain things re: snow tires and warranty. I told the salesperson that I had another appointment and did not have time to discuss the sales agreement in detail. I foolishly signed it and gave a $1000 deposit via debit card. When I got home and read it, I noticed that the suggested retail price was $29,495. The used winter tires were $800. They were offering me $20,000 for my Equinox because of damages and there was 0 warranty. I asked why the discrepancy of $2000 between the site and the ***** I was almost ordered to go the ********************* before 5 pm that day. The answer to my question was were giving you a discount. When I asked them to throw in the tires to sweeten the deal, I was told they would take the price off the contract and I could buy them later at twice the price. When I emailed my questions/concerns about the contract in preparation for a discussion with the Finance Manager, I was told by the Sales Manager that they wouldnt go around this discussion again and did I want to cancel? I said yes and went to get my refund on Wednesday, May 4th. I was told that they didnt do debit card refunds. It had to be a cheque, go through Accounting, signed by management and sent through the mail. I asked them to let me know when the cheque was cut so I could pick it up. After a call to *** on Monday May 9th, the Sales Mgr emailed me an hour later. Good thing I went to pick up the refund!!!! The address on the cheque was a place I hadnt lived in for at least 10 years!!! I dont know if its because of ineptitude, stupidity or lack of concern for a client who cancelled a deal???!
