We were sold a vehicle not even two weeks ago that is already having problems and they refuse to return our calls or give us an appointment to fix the issue. The 30 day money back guarantee is a lie and even with the warranty, they ignore you.

Massive scam. They sell Used vehicles "as is." Even with extended warranty, you pay diagnostic fee for future troubles, which they should have fixed before selling the car.

    Good afternoon **************,

We'd like to extend our apologies if you feel dissatisfied with the service or product quality of your vehicle purchase.

Please allow us to provide some clarity on the situation from our perspective.
    On June 9th, 2023, you purchased a 7-year-old ***** CR-V with ****** kilometers.

Following your letter to the BBB, we pulled our service records to see which interactions you had with our service department in the last 11 months since you have owned the vehicle.

On August 25th, 2023, 77 days and ***** kilometers after taking delivery of your CR-V you made an appointment with our service department. Your concern was that you think the vehicle is overheating.  After a thorough inspection from our technician and our service manager, we were unable to locate any evidence of overheating. There was no evidence of leaks and the vehicle performed normally for our technicians. We then scanned the on-board computer of your vehicle to see if there were any reported anomalies in the computers memory but there were no codes at all in memory. In order to eliminate all possibilities of the engine overheating, we conducted multiple test runs (long idle, slow drives and highways runs) without any incidence of your vehicle overheating.Following this thorough examination, AT OUR EXPENSES, you retrieved your vehicle and we have not received any further reports of overheating from your part since then.

On October 10th, 2023, 123 days and over ***** kilometers since your initial purchase. You booked a second service visit and reported issues with the rear lights not functioning, resulting in a ticket, and that the right wiper was making a squealing noise.
When you arrived here, ***** our service advisor, noticed that the lights had been manually set to the off position. ***** assisted in demonstrating how to activate the lights and everything worked normally after he had turned them on. As far as the noisy wiper, the issue was caused by a bent wiper blade. ***** straightened the wiper blade, the noise was gone and you were sent on your way. Again, both concerns were addressed at NO cost to you.

Fast forward to April 29th, 2024, 248 days into your ownership. You contacted our service department to schedule an appointment for a vehicle inspection. As explained by our service team, service visits and inspections are NOT free and need to be paid by the owner of the vehicle. Should the inspection reveal a problem that is covered under warranty, the repair is usually covered by the insurance company as long as there is no negligence or abuse from the owner causing the breakdown.  While we graciously absorbed the costs of your initial 2 visits as a goodwill gesture, we are sure you understand that no company will offer complimentary service indefinitely.

Once again, we apologize if you feel your investment in this 7-year-old vehicle did not meet your expectations. However, labeling Car-On Auto as a "massive scam" for selling used vehicles "as-is" is truly sad and very unfounded.

    Sincerely,
