I purchased a new range which ended up having a loud buzz. I replaced the control board but the buzz would not go away. I called *** and explained the issue and steps taken and he said he could come look. He unplugged the control board and plugged it back in which did not fix the issue and said it was a lower range stove and he couldn't help me. He then handed me a bill for $100. I told him he did exactly what I had done (which I had previously explained) and that he did not fix the issue. His response was that he drove to my house. ***  proceeded to email me the invoice which had no description of work with errors in dates. I asked him to provide an invoice describing the work he actually did (which was none) so he made one up saying there was no issue. I told him that he did not trouble shoot the issue and his response was to demand I pay the invoice or he would send to a collection agency. Date on site was August 6, 2022

    In regard to the customer **** ******** **** *** ********* ** *** ***
As per telephone conversation the customer complained a noise coming from his clock timer in which **  ****** had already sent him a new one. Customer called me and requested me to look at appliance as he could still hear a noise.
Its 62 kms to his residence, I checked the range no noise coming from clock and the unit running normal. Customer wanted me to check wiring but  wiring doesn't cause a noise. After 38 years servicing appliances this is the first time running into a situation such as this. Customer also said his father never heard a noise.I don't believe changing parts when not necessary its not my policy.
The customer paid me after I told him I would go to the collection agency but I believe he has been reimbursed by ** as ** sent me a checque after customer paid me. I called ** to cancel the chq as customer already paid me. They thanked me for my honesty. Customer put a terrible review on my google page, first in 38 years.

    ********** ********

I am rejecting this response because:

There is a noise with the stove.   I explained the issue on phone and what had been done and *** came anyway.  It seemed as if he knew nothing could be done.

I explained to him I needed a reason to submit to ** for the work he did for warranty but he could not provide that because work was not done.  I told him I would submit the claim and reimburse him if they paid it.  He subsequently went to ** for payment and threatened to call collections on me.

    This issue can be closed.

    Sincerely,
    ****
