Monday, May 30th, 2022. Canadian Tire Paid $50, **** *** ****** under $200. Canadian tire was supposed to replace just the Starter on my Car, however the fee to replace it made no sense, they also tried to replace brakes, wheelbearings and a brake caliper. The information i gave them was from another trusted mechanic company from about 4 hours away and they neglected to listen to what i was saying. Once i told them i dont want the work done, and to put the car back the way it was before. they left all wires off the starter disconnect. This would make it impossible to start. They also said they checked the starter and it was clear they only disconnected the wires. the starter was only started when cold but not hot. whenever trying to start it about 7 hours later wouldn't start to bring it to the other company (**** *** ******). They haven't tried to resolve anything. they basically made it unstartable/sabotaged so the other company had to come and fix it in the parking lot or make me tow it to them. They were going to charge me $700 for this job that only took an hour for the other company to do, **** *** ****** starter was under $200. The cost from them to come here, replace it, and drive back would be $700. I paid them for an inspection that wasn't needed.
