Hansen's Response

A wheel bearing is not something we damage with the equipment we use and with our shipment process.
And with its location, it is not a part of our driver inspection at the time of pick-up, and vehicles we ship are only driven during loading and unloading at a very low speed so drivers will not even hear if there's a strange noise coming from the tires.
Our trucks use soft-tie-down straps that go around each tire, which allows the vehicle to ride on its own suspension, with no pressure on the tire or the vehicle itself. There is nothing that goes close enough to damage the wheel bearings.
As for the rail leg of the move, rail secure vehicles while in the rail cars using wheel chocks. Wheel chocks resemble large wedges of polymer plastic that sit in front and behind each tire.
There was no mishandling during loading or unloading into the rail car or onto the trailer, if there was, there would be very obvious damages under the car or on the tires and rims. There was no incident involving your vehicle to cause damage to the wheel bearings.
Thank you,
