On July 8,2024 “Appliance Repair Expert” technicians responded to our request for diagnostics and repair to our ** fridge/freezer which had stopped cooling although the compressor could heard running. As a precaution we unplugged and emptied the fridge. When the technicians arrived, the fridge was plugged back in. Parveen listened to the fridge for about 1 minute (no tools were used and no disassembly) and said that the Freon had leaked out and unfortunately they were not qualified to deal with that problem; but he would contact his office and they would arrange for qualified technician to attend. He said that the cost of the service call (paid by **** $144.48 taxes in) would be deducted from the cost of the repair as per the terms of the Diagnosis and Repair quote and that the office would get back to us shortly to schedule the repair. After about 1 hour, I called the office and was told that both Freon techs had been fired and we would need to find someone else to do the repairs. Eventually we found a technician from a different company who was qualified to do repairs including Freon replenishment. He inspected the compressor control board and the compressor and determined that the compressor had failed and needed replacement. While removing the old compressor he found that the Freon was fully charged and therefore had not been leaking. Needless to say “Appliance Expert” diagnosis was based on haphazard and brief observation and was incorrect. It took longer generate and accept payment of the invoice. Since "Appliance Expert" did not perform any meaningful diagnostics was not able to fulfill their part of the agreement (i.e. - provide repairs) I requested reimbursement of the $144.48 service fee on July 9 and again on July 21 and have not had a response. I think this is a scam to charge for the diagnostics service call with no intention of actually doing the repair that could have the initial service call charge deducted from the total cost of the repair.Review from Natalija M

********* ** ****** ‘technicians have no idea what they are doing, yet charge for repairs, that are not needed using cheapest materials. When you call them with complaints that problem was not resolved, block your phone, but pick up right away if calling from different one, that they block right after.Review from Lynn C

After having trouble with our washing machine not draining, the guy showed up and said we needed a new pump and he would be back on Tuesday or Wednesday. After hearing nothing back and nobody answering our calls we resorted to putting in a request for service. They, of course, called us back. We asked when we could expect our technician and we were told that they would look into it. We never heard back and they were a no show. They got our 150$ and ran. ***** **** *** ********* * will be going forward with taking them to small claims court on principal. ** * ***** **** **** * ***** ****** * ******Review from Krystal D

They sent out a technician, quoted astronomical prices for the work that needs to be done, and then completely ghosted me when I agreed to still go through with the work. I cannot contact them by email or phone. ***** ******* ***** ************ *** **** *** * ***** ** *** *** **** ******** They charged a diagnostic fee and I could not get them to do the work. ****** ***** **** ** ******** * ***** ***** ****** ******** *** * ***** ***** *** **** ** ****** ***** ********** ** **** ******* *****Review from Albert A

The guy showed up on time Thursday afternoon, but did not know any more about a dishwasher that I did. He left the unit half apart in the middle of the kitchen and said he would be back with a new discharge pump and not charge any more labor to put it in. He did no tests to determine that it would fix the issue. We paid him almost 300 bucks. I texted and asked for price and delivery of the part. Late Friday afternoon he responded that he did not know the price or delivery yet, and would get back to us Monday. On Monday at 5:30 pm, he reported that the part would be "about 200$ plus shipping". No mention of how much shipping would be nor when we could get it installed. He did nothing but leave a disassembled dishwasher in the middle of the kitchen.Review from Dan L

Diagnosed my fridge saying its the compressor. Paid deposit. They fixed my fridge without needing the compressor and now they want 30% restocking fee from a diagnosis they did.Review from Yves G

They were quick to get a tech to my house. The tech took 5 minutes max to diagnose my stove. He then told me I needed a new ignitor and it would be $610. He provided no break down or details. I thought it was high, however I have no experience with stoves. When I saw the invoice it was $285 for labour. He was there max 20 minutes. And $310 for the part. I can buy the same part online for $160. I tried calling them to complain and all they could offer was a $30 discount for a new customer. I got no rationale as to why the labour or part were as high as they were. I was told to email their manager and still have not heard back. ***** *** **** *****Review from Chris v

We had a repair done on our ***** dishwasher in December and now 6 months later it is having the exact same problem. New part was installed in December for $500. I called to ask for help and I got stonewalled by someone who "just works there" and told me they only warrant repairs for 90 days. The technician told me that I could expect another 4-5 years out of the dishwasher with the new part. * **** ********** ****** **** I would never recommend a company like this.Review from Brad A

Very hard to deal with. They were quick to call me back and book an appointment but it was almost impossible to talk to them after that. After I finally heard from the tech and got my dishwasher diagnosed, I was sent an invoice that only had a total charge with no break down. I had to chase them down to get a detailed invoice. After seeing the detailed invoice I know why they try to hide it, $250 for a part that I found at **** ***** for $70. They also did not reinstall my dishwasher correctly so it now moves every time I open the door. I let the company know but have not heard back. Overall this was a terrible ******* to deal with and I wish I just bought a new dishwasher and avoided this company all together.
