I arranged (through ****) to have Universal Construction, quote on repairing the concrete steps in front of my house. After signing the contract on Jan 22, he was to call to schedule the work. The next morning I heard loud noises and pounding (from inside my house), by the time I got dressed and got outside they had already started working, never called nor rang the doorbell, or knocked on the door. They pulled off all of my Christmas decorations (garland and lights, etc.), pulled the electrical cords out from under the soffits and left the light cord hanging from the eavestrough. They cut the large wood column (supporting the porch roof) in half with a chainsaw and also cut the stairs railing off the steps. All thrown on the ground. I ran outside and had them stop working immediately as I had yet to make arrangements: arrange an alternate entrance to my house while they were working and organize the installation of the new columns and railings in accordance with their proposed date. I explained to John, (seemed like the supervisor) that as per our discussion during the quote visit, that he needed to call to reschedule the date because I was not prepared for their work this day. * *** **** ***** **** **** *** *** *** ******* ****** *** *** ******* *** ** * **** ***** ******** ** *** ***** *** ** *** * *** ****** ***** ****  John said he would come back and make a temporary plastic railing for safety. I said that would be great. Then he said to call him on Wednesday to check in for a new date. After they left, I came out to clean up because they left all of the heavy pieces of wood on the lawn and that's when I noticed they had taken my ice chipper. Upon review of my security cameras, I watched them take it off my porch, use it to conduct their work and then put it in their truck when I asked them to leave. I've called them many times since Jan 23. The number just rings with no voicemail set up. * ***** **** **** ******* ** ******* What do I do now?
