    I dealt with the company for a 0% mortgage for over a year. The application fee was $35,000 and they assured it would be refunded if they were not able to provide the loan. Fast forward to over a year later and they wanted an additional $50,000 to review what the estimated closing costs would be. I asked for closing paperwork to review and if the $50,000 would be held in escrow. All they sent me was an invoice to wire an additional $50,000 to bettermed. I requested to have my application fee refunded - they refused. ** *** ** *** ******** **** **** *******

    I just got off the phone with these ***** in regards to assisted IVF. It costs $10,500 through them so I was interested in getting more information. First of all, I sent an email this morning, they sent one back with questionnaire. Then they went ahead and scheduled the phone call for 2 that day. **** *** ***** ***** ***** ** *** **** ** *** *** **** ********* ** * ********** ****** ***** ******* * ********* ****. I'm an educated individual so we were only halfway through the conversation when my ****** senses told me something didn't ***** right. He asked me if I got depressed after the miscarriages..* **** He told me only a few spots were open for the rest of the year then went on and on and on about how my time was running out at my advanced age and only they has the best doctors that dealt with the most at risk patients... They couldn't even tell me what doctors or hospitals they use or that I would be assigned to. He said was "approved" but had to pay all the money by Tuesday. ******* ***** **** ***** **** ****** ***********  I'm glad I'm not an idiot cause I after I hung up, * ****** ** ******** ***** *** **** ** *** * ***** **** ******* *** ******* *** **** *** ******** ********* ****** ***** ****** ******* ******* ** *****

    **** ** * *** ***** **** ***** called me with a private number , sense I was a little hesitant and snapped when I tried to explain to him why I was a little hesitant with his immediate deeply personal questions. **** ** * *** ****. No reasonable organization treat people like that ****** **** **** ******** *******  He told me I will advise you to go to those that will give you high interest. ** ****** **** ******* ** ****************

Sunk a $5000 application fee into them for a surrogacy loan, and have been “stuck in underwriting” for over a year now.     ******** **** *** ******. Took my update $4500.00. I've spoken with my POC about 3 times in a year and half. I was told that if I follow up too much, or in not some many words be "annoying" my application would somehow slip to the bottom of the pile. My wife and I were counting on this loan as we are going through surrogacy and this loan would have helped an already stressful, emotional situation be a tad better. I've have followed about 15 times and have heard from no one, I've asked for my 4500.00 and have heard from no one. Now I see they want 10K for an APP fee, I would advise no one to spend that, because you will never see it again.

    I reached out to Bettermed because I had questions about their loan for surrogacy. 1) you can only contact them by email. 2) they will only speak to you after you answer these questions: Your full name? Your telephone number (including area code)? The current City you live in? The current State you live in? Purpose of loan (be specific)? How much do you need to borrow? What is your occupation? What is your annual income? How much do you have in personal savings? What is your referral code (if you do not have one, answer N/A)? 3) once you answer those questions they will set up a time when THEY will call you. I had an appointment today(5/23/23) at 1pm. I waited patiently today with my phone right by me for the call. It never came. And then at 1:06 I get a message: “Dear ******* ******, our surrogacy loan specialist attempted to call you today, Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 1pm MT on telephone number (XXX), but was not able to reach you. Per your email message, you confirmed your availability for a telephone call at this time. We appreciate your interest in BetterMed, and we wish you all the best in your surrogacy journey. Sincerely, Amanda” I emailed this Amanda back letting her know that NO on called me, I had not received a call and I would like someone to call. Her response was: “Dear ******, Thank you for your message. Our records indicate that you missed your scheduled telephone call on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.Unfortunately we will not be able to reschedule another appointment for you, and you are automatically disqualified for BetterMed’s 0% Surrogacy Program. We appreciate your interest in BetterMed, and we wish you all the best in your surrogacy journey. Sincerely, Amanda” When I let her know, that it seemed a little like * ****, especially after taking all my info and a picture of my ID, all she emailed back was: “Our records indicate that you have been disqualified from the Program. As a result, we are unable to assist you further. Sincerely, Amanda”

    This company took $1000 up front from me to apply for a loan for IVF in 2021. They have no phone number you can call, so they only operate through “unknown” phone calls setup at a specific time and emails. They have given me the runaround for a $7000 loan when my husband and I have excellent credit. **** ** ********** * ****. Now, they will not even respond to my emails. I’ve emailed the main email and the person who was helping me, but they will not respond or even give me an update.

    I was lucky enough to get accepted into their program and I count my blessings every day for that!! My repayments are the lowest anywhere and I get to keep my house. Their pre-qualification interview was detailed and intimidating. The end result is that I was approved and that's what counts.

I have stage 3 lung cancer with lymph node involvement and they strung me along for 6 months. Also, the cancer treatment center I was looking to for personalized, targeted therapy, recommended them for financing. * **** ****** *** **** ******* *** ***** ****** ******** ******
