I began a contract with Visa Place (herein referred to as VP) in Jan/Feb 2021. Without notification, my law team has changed 3 times now. The only way I grt information is to call and demand to speak to someone. This last change happened June 2022. Again, I only found out when I called June 19 (I had called June 18 and was merely told to email Mr. C.) and demanded to speak to someone. Only then was I told that D. C. no longer worked there...and I had just spoken to him on the phone June 3. I spoke to my new lawyer, Jose d., June 19 and was told I would have to resign papers, to reflect the change in law team. I have yet to receive said papers and I have called and emailed several times. When I was told the July 3rd date on the US Immigration site was "merely a priority date and not a deadline," I explained that the immigration process was a priority to us. I feel this entire process with the US govt would go faster if all my documentation would be uploaded.Business Response

I contracted with VisaPlace in Jan or Feb 2021 to assist us in obtaining my husband's green card to relocated to the US. I am American and he is Canadian. They continually change lawyers without notification, have continually given us misinformation which has delayed our process and resulted in my husband having to stay in Canada while I moved back to the US for a job. Now they will not even take phone calls, return emails, or assist us to know what we need to do to resolve these issues. I even emailed the owner on July 7 and got no reply. However, when I left an unfavorable ****** review, he replied, saying that was the first he had heard of it and would look into it. I have heard nothing from the owner. When I call VisaPlace recently for assistance, I was told the customer service manager and my lawyer were unavailable. When I email, I do not get a reply. I had to report them previously to the BBB for taking my fee and not uploading information. I have requested a refund of my retainer, but those requests have fallen on deaf ears and been shushed with a few promises for assistance, which have gone unanswered.Business Response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: VisaPlace has demonstrated a history of merely saying what needs to be said to placate me. I have asked for a refund and those requests have been ignored, without even an offer for a partial refund. When I spoke to their representative and expressed my concerns and frustrations, having been asked to recount all the problems we have encountered since the beginning, including their representative insisting they inform you when your legal team has changed ande saying "Do not patronize me and I am looking at my email," I was told they do send emails to notify clients. Again, I told them not to patronize me again because in almost 3 years and 4 legal team changes, I have never once received notification of changes. And,y current lawyer told me my retainer had been fulfilled, even though they have not assisted consistently or with accurate information. So, I am apprehensive to accept their promises to see this through to the end and help me resolve this issue.
Sincerely,
******* *******Business Response

Contacted Visaplace 11/30/2020 for consultation regarding "Best Visa", for US entry for my wife and I. Spoke with Frank Z. who suggested that an L1A Visa and supporting documentation for my wife would work for us. A retainer of $$6,000.00 CND was sent to Visaplace based on this conversation. This case was assigned to Rahal R.. He fumbled with the document preparation for nearly a year with no results to submit to USCIS. As I was in the USA at the time my B2 Visa was running out and I had asked him to prepared a Visa extension. This was done at a cost of $2,200.00CND and filed four days before the deadline. This extension was denied and Visaplace did noting to try and sort this out. I sent this document to them. It was incomplete and they did noting to follow up. He was subsequently removed from the case *** ** ***********. The case was handed over to another lawyer, Amhed B., prior to my L1A meeting with USCIS. He told me straight out that going the L1A route was wrong and that he would not have done that. He then refused to review my L1A package prior to meeting with USCIS. Needless to say this meeting did not go well and the application was denied and further that my wife and I were barred from entry into the USA pending further review and possibly 3-5 year ban could be placed on us. This left my wife an I in a terrible position as we could not get our belongings out of the USA. I asked Visa place for some help to retrieve our personal belongings and was told by Alyssa L. that the only way they would help was if I signed a "wavier of liability", against their firm, which I did not do. This cost me in excess of $15,000. USD to break my lease and and have my belongings brought home. Amhed B. has since left the firm. At the moment nothing is being done and I am out a lot of money *** ** ***** ************. I must now try and start again with a reputable firm. I have no idea who is assigned to this case if anyone.Business Response

The main reason that the L1A was refused was due to the mishandling of the B2 extension documents. Upon my return to Canada prior to the conclusion on the B2 extension, VisaPlace lawyer Ahmed B. told me that this extension was abandoned because of my early return to Canada and that no further action was required. In the mean time USCIS sent documentation to VisaPlace attention Fadi M. requesting more information for the B2 extension. This documentation was never sent to me, therefore I could not respond, however I sent my copy to VisaPlace asking them to respond to the USCIS questions, they did not respond on my behalf. When I met with US Customs on November 15, 2021 the first question they asked me was why had I had not responded to their B2 questions. They were very annoyed at me over this issue and it definitely tainted the balance of the interview. My response to them was that my legal firm should have responded however they did not! In my opinion the entire handling of the B2 extension was done incorrectly and the advice given to me by Ahmed B. was wrong! This resulted in the denial of my L1A application and has left a permanent stain on my record going forward. US Customs informed me that my legal firm mishandled the documentation for the B2 extension. So far the only documentation sent to me by VisaPlace has been a "full and final", release against liability to VisaPlace for mishandling the case. This was not helpful and to this day they have done nothing further. To the point of VisaPlace producing document, yes they did, however it was of no value. Because of this I am not looking for a full refund, however I am looking for some amount to mitigate my damages as I am no further ahead with the L1A application and it is very doubtful US Customs will go any further. In essence I am much worse off then I was before I started this process. This is wrong! I certainly can't see how VisaPlace can be happy or satisfied with these results. As a word of caution I would warn any potential customs to not use their services as they do not back up what their selling.Business Response
