How can I even get all my original documentation back from Pardons Canada that I had sent in along with a refund? * **** ******* ********** ** **** ** *** ******* *** I don't want to wait 2 years for answers from them. Before I hired Pardons Canada, I did all the leg work by going to Saskatchewan and paying the court fees to have my court documents sent to me which I received in a timely manner from them. Then I applied at the courts here in Winnipeg for my court records and so most of the work was done and I did it all on my own, including the criminal record checks. The only reason i hired Pardons Canada was because I did 't have time to complete the final few steps. So I paid them $1200 for what? All they have to do is get my court records from Winnipeg, which are ready because I got a call from them last week. So what is the payment for? I could have just sent in my application myself for $50. In any event, I don't have a contact person, I never get a full explanation and I never can reach anyone for a response on the progress. So I am requesting to have a refund and have all my original documents returned to me that I paid for and did the work to get. Thank you. This service is not as I expected and I keep only getting a standard response that doesn't give any real information.Pardons Canada Response

****, we always respond within 24 hours and we have record that you were emailed back every time you contacted us. Also, we have 35 years of expertise to know how to put the application together for the government to approve it. There was an issue with your court records that did NOT show fine payments so we had to re-order them. Regardless, the winnipeg courts will arrive and we will then submit for final approval. Here are the extensive notes from your file: 4/30/2024 ...Chris = rec’d Client Care email: Good afternoon *****, I am wondering if I can have my original documents returned to me please. I feel uneasy that I do not have contact with anyone there when I want to know that status of my application. There's no communication on the process or anything nf I would rather just continei the application on my own. I sent in my original court documents and they were received amd signed for at your office on April 25th. Did not reply as MB spoke today 5/1/2024 …Maia = In office - Found file in pile for crts to be processed. RCMP was also attached to the back of the court docs = great. Processed RCMP & move file ahead for crt dept to review the crts client obtained and made green note to move file to order courts after to get Winnipeg crts. Emailed: Pardons Canada has reviewed your file. We have processed your original RCMP report and have ordered the necessary court records from the Winnipeg court house to determine your eligibility. Once this information has been confirmed, we will be in contact with you. Rest assured that we are making progress with your file and will contact you when any action on your part is required. 5/6/2024 ...Jessica = rec’d crt client sent in --- a letter indicating a ******* with ******** was stayed -- not needed crts from Regina -- original and good; says yes to fines paid but none ordered BUT clerk writes NO FINE AND S/C --- i think this should be okay saskatoon and winnipeg crts still need to be ordered 5/21/2024 ...Lisa = Ordered Saskatoon and Winnipeg crts and emailed heads up. 6/11/2024 ...Lisa = Rec’d a copy of her Regina courts = we already have. Added to non working docs. 7/4/2024 ...Nicole = Rec’d CSC email I am trying to get someone, anyone to reply to me regarding my file please. I have tried using the client center and I'd like it of there was an actual person to speak to. I need to request to have all the original documents I had sent in returned to me. I did all the leg work and paid on my own before I even hired Pardons Canada and yet I'm still waiting? I'd rather just go back to compelting the process myself. I paid $1200 for what? I got my own crime al record check, paid and applied for my own court records and now I find out the cost is only $50 to apply to the parole board? Why then did I pay you guys $1200? I am requesting ALL my original documents back that I sent in as well as a refund please ASAP. My phone number to call me is ************. >>forward email to CC. 7/4/2024 ...Chris = rec’d Client Care email: ok. Well then please proceed with the application, since it is already all paid for. Started the pardons process roughly 5 years ago with them. Still, not even in the final stage to submit! I stopped reaching out to them as the only response that I got from them was we’re still waiting for files. I decided to go with another company 2 years ago and they have completed everything and my application is ready to be submitted. **** **** **** ******* ********* ***** ******* ** * ******** ********Pardons Canada Response

I have paid thousands of dollars to pardons Canada to remove my record plus thousands in gas and travelling expenses to get my local police checks in various provinces. This is 2 years now and still never got anywhere. I call them multiple of times to ask questions, what is the hold up etc and they hang up on me. Don’t call me back and poor customer service. I want my money back if pardons Canada is not willing to work with me or get my pardons in progress. **** ** ******* **** ** ****** *** * **** ** **** ** *** **** * *****. Just got a graduate diploma and if I don’t get my record clean I won’t get a job. My offences was 10 years ago and more. Shouldn’t be a problem in getting a pardon. I’m so done with trying and calling etc. Just refund me because I seem to be doing everything on my end and nothing on pardons Canada end ? I do not recommend at all ! Very disappointed.Pardons Canada Response

******, you paid $1200 and you are eligible. I am under no impressions about the detachment and mailing issues. I have to be to each detachment in person to get a LPC. That means I had to travel to each province to do this. Then travel back. Then wait 3 weeks for it to come in then travel back again in person to pick them up. This had cost me a lot of money . I get this all done and then I get a email saying all my records and everything I sent to you guys is shredded and I have to redo all this process over again. I couldn’t even have time to go to Nova Scotia to get my other 2 LPC. why the instructions sent to me was not completed because i cant complete it now that I have to start from scratch again! I live in New Brunswick and I don’t have the money to be travelling to NS, NL, Saint Johns, NB and waiting 3 weeks for each police check to arrive to each detachment and travel back to pick it up in person. You keep saying that each police detachment can mail it to me etc no they cannot. If they could don’t you think I would have done that ? Instead of waiting my time travelling and spending all that money . By law it’s not allowed to send personal information (especially someone’s records) in the mail. If you don’t believe me call them yourself. I spent so much money getting records, travelling to NL , every province etc and plus paying for the pardons application itself. So now I have to complete the process all over again because I didn’t fall in the time period frame. That is not my fault. This is the issue that I’m dealing with. It is all very frustrating to me . I try and explain it but no one wants to listen when I call. I cannot force the rcmp to send me or anyone my LCP documents in the mail. You have to be there in person. I cannot even get a job. I tried and done my best in completing all the steps. Thank youReview from Nancy M

I was living with the concern that a decades-old alcohol-related criminal offense would surface while travelling and that it would cause difficulties crossing borders, specifically into the US. I outlined my concern and details to a Pardons Canada consultant who advised that obtaining a pardon(file suspension) would resolve that concern - their advertising also claims that pardons remove the risk of problems, including entry denial, at the border. They claim that the pardon removes the offender's file from the data base so that no information from it comes up when the customs agent requests a record search so there would be no difficulties. I agreed to proceed and in due course, received a pardon approximately 4 - 6 years ago. Between Covid and personal circumstances, I wasn;t travelling; the first time that I wanted to enter the US was recently on June 8th. To my shock, I wasn't waved through Customs but was detained. A pardon in fact does not eliminate the risk of encountering problems at the border. Yes, my file was removed so nothing from it came up. However, what is not removed by a pardon is the FPS nbumber that is assigned to the offender's name during the arrest process, specifically during finger printing. That number will always surface when any form of law enforcement does a search and it tells Customs that the traveller had been arrested in the past b Atut provides no details. At no time in our conversations and nowhere in their promotional material did Pardons Canada note this significant hurdle. It is something that they should note/advise as a caveat rather than simply and conclusively state that a pardon (which the US doesn't recognize) eliminates all prior offence issues at the border.Pardons Canada Response

*****, we help people obtain US waivers all of the time and would tell you if we needed a waiver. As far as we know, the Americans do not see anything once a pardon is granted and so we don't want you to waste money and time on an application you may not need. If you were denied entry to the US as a result of your criminal record perhaps they knew about you prior to getting the pardonCustomer Response

I was not denied entry justi questioned at lengrh about my prior arrest As the pardon removed my file but I it does not remove/delete the FOS Umber which tells the agent there was an arrest in the past but provides. I details. My file is now flagged and I may or may not be allowed entry in future attempts will depend on the agent. I was better off before the file suspension since one minor ******* offense is not listed as a rear son to demy entry.Review from J. L.

Will, you started your file Apr. 2016 to remove your ******** offence. You then failed to follow our instructions and your file went dormant. We even backed you up with your employer in 2017. Your file was then shredded due to your failure to follow the final instructions. You started again in Sep. 2022 to remove all 16 of your offences and then never followed the instructions again and wanted a refund of your initial payment which was non-refundable due to us paying people to set up and activate your file. Here are the notes from your file: 1/23/2017 ..******* = Recv’d CSC live call: Client didn’t know about the $631 PBC fee - He can’t afford it plus the LPC fee of $100 - Told him the fee is explained at the begining of the process and written on the receipts - If you need more time to come up with the $631 then we can put the file forward a few months while ou save for it. At 1st he wanted to cxl but I told him it would be a waste and he wouldn’t get a refund - He agrees hold off for 6 months - Told him to hold off on the LPC until closer to the time he has $631 together. Will do - Knows to call us back in July to continue on. - Moved file to July. 3/14/2019 ... ***** = Inactive file review, client has rec’d f/u letter & re-act emails...shredded file as it’s been over 18 mosReview from Veronica B

********, you first contacted us in 2018 to remove your ***** *** ******* offence. in Mar 2023 you called to activate your file to which we paid people to set up and activate your file. Your parents paid a lawyer to do this which is not our fault. The invoice clearly states no refund for initial payment as we pay people to set up and activate the file.
