* ** ******* **** ****** ** **** ******** ****** *** ****** *********** ***** ************* ********* I had a horrible experience that should serve as a cautionary tale. I was contacted by Distributel regarding a modem, an outdated $100 piece of equipment that I had forgotten to return. The situation was handled poorly from the start. When I initially spoke with their customer service, I asked for a brief and to-the-point conversation since I was busy running my business. Instead of being respectful, I was spoken to in the most ************* and ********** manner. The representative was **** *** dismissive, which made the whole experience even worse. When I called back to try to resolve the issue and discuss the situation further, they hung up on me. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially when you’re dealing with a small business owner who’s just trying to make things right. To make matters worse, they involved a collection agency over a $100 modem and were demanding $600, which is absurd. Their customer service and collections practices are unprofessional and completely disrespectful. If you let things slide for even a moment, be prepared to be treated horribly. * ****** ****** *** ******** ******** ******* *** **** ********** ** *** ************* ********* Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever dealt with* *** ***** ********* ** ********* ** ********** **** *** ***** *** **** ** ***** ***********Review from Mary M

Bell Canada has provided very poor customer service prompting me to cancell services in discussion with Bell it was determined that had overpaid years 105.00 they advised. That I would receive a check in 90 days this did not occur in fact they are now sending small bills over and over again upon contacting they I spoke to a manager who advised that she would clear the amount I enquired about the money owed to me she denied that it was owed * **** **** * ***** **** * ********* **** *** *** *** **** ******* ******* ** ** ****** ******** *** ******* ****** * ** *** **** * ********* **** *** **** ** ** **Review from Kenny L

Account system error, poor customer service. Changed my payment info on Distributel website on Nov.22. Received an email on Dec.2 saying my payment didn't go through, stated will charge $20 NSF charge on my account. I called, and found out this Distributel charged my previous payment setting. But I already updated the new payment info on Nov.22 and got the confirmation from the Distributel system. It wasted me over 23+ minutes to call them, re-update the debit info again. It was a disappointment, and a unpleasant surprise to receive a notification saying that my payment was NSF, and extra charge would be applied. I did all I can 10 days ahead of the payment date. And the customer service department told me my NSF charge is now dropped, this is THE compensation. I was quite annoyed when the customer rep told me that. ** **** * *** ***** *** **** ***** * ****** ******* **** I spent extra time to tell that to rectify their mistake, he said it wasn't Distributel's mistake. He said when the invoice created 10 days ago, my old debit info already in that invoice, so Distributel just following that info to debit me. So, that was not their mistake. Wow, then in this case, your system failed. If customer updated online cannot really reflect the change, don't let customer update information online. Take down that feature. Force that to call Distributel to update information and apply that information right away for any further billing purposes. The fiber internet service quality is ok with **** ***** as back bone. However, customer service or the accounting info update is not up to expectation. If you didn't frequently check your email after you update your credit card info, you may get NSF charge from no where. And they don't admit is their fault, may be this is my fault to choose this company?Review from Christine M

The internet when working is fine but if anything goes wrong and you have to call customer service be prepared to call more than once. I woke up Friday with no internet phones tech support did all their n tests nothing. Then they say they have to schedule a Rogers tech to come out and they will call with an appt time. I get an email with service details and nothing so I email back saying (for literally the 5th time) correct the spelling of my last name and this is my phone number (after the 5th time) well guess what they didn’t enter in my phone number correctly and apparently a tech was coming Sunday but couldn’t reach me. Monday now rolls around and this is now the 4th call to customer service and. 2 emails only to be told they will escalate the ticket and should hear from someone within 48hrs! Another 2 days. Without internet. I don’t blame the people answering the phone bc they can’t speak clear English the call centre is out of Egypt I’m in TORONTO! So now again waiting for someone to call back to schedule another appt. It’s now Tuesday evening and I’ should have my internet back up….yeah not and I’m still no further ahead than when I started. They need to hire people who can understand English a little better. Customer support is horribleReview from Ivan S

I used Distributel at my previous address and wanted to move it to the new address. I notified them about a week in advance, but today, almost two weeks after I moved, I still don't have internet. They sent the equipment to my new address (as requested), but sent the technician to the previous address. The technician called me on the phone and I let him know the new address, he came and did the installation, but didn't release the signal, telling me I need to call Distributel to get the new order with the correct address. I wasted a day of my work for nothing (waiting for the technician), I am paying for the service I am not getting and in addition I am wasting $15 of cellular data daily to have the minimum internet via hotspot. Yet, I get the same careless and ************** responses from them, with no resolution in sight. I have used many different providers in three different countries, but this is by far the worst experience. ever. * ***** **** **** **** ****** *** ***** ** ** **** ** *******Review from Josh C

I wouldn't know what the service quality is like since NOTHING has been installed. *** **** **** ***** ** **** *** ********* New install was supposed to take place from 5-9pm today. No one showed up. I call in and they say it was scheduled for June 6. I have no clue where that date came from since the most recent email I received from them stated it was scheduled for today. Sat around all day waiting for no one to show up. I had to repeat myself so many times on the phone. I was then hung up on. I call back. The new rep said he couldn't access my account because the previous rep was in it. Would not transfer me to a manager. I said I wanted the whole thing cancelled due to the piss-pour customer service. They transfer me to a closed department. I don't know what it will take to stop this account from switching since I have not been able to reach anyone. ** *** *** ******** ** ********* **** ** ************ *** *** ***** ***Review from Sam S

I set up my account on April 12. The agent that set up my account got my first and last name wrong. They even got my address wrong mixing up my street number being that my accurate street number is 377 and they put 416 the offer that was given to me I was advised I was getting an ******** discount ******* * **** *** *** ******* **** **** **** ******* and when I received my quote, it appears that I was on a two-year contract with limited time credits for two years, when I proceeded to cancel my services, they refuse to provide me with a confirmation of cancellation when I called back to confirm that my services were cancelled they advised me that the modem had already been shipped, and I had received it, which was incorrect The modem apparently had been shipped to the incorrect address, which had already been corrected on my account refusing to provide a confirmation of cancellation is a illegal act, and they have to legally provide any customer with a confirmation of cancellation. They can’t provide me confirmation that they have located the modem nor will they provide me confirmation of cancellation, even after me requesting a manager and advising them that I will be making a complaint to the CRTC ** **** ** *** ****** ******** ****** * Also, as this company is a prepaid Internet company they take funds before the services is installed and active and due to the fact that I’ve cancelled my service and never had it installed. They are now advising me that it is going to take up to 30 days plus for me to receive the money back into my account. I am absolutely ********* and disappointed in Bell Canada as they are the owners of distributel and the customer service that distributor is providing.Review from Alexa B

** ****** *** * were changing a number over to group our phones on one account, we were about to cancel our bell, as they did not give us what they promised, would not honor the deal we were told we were going to get along with keeping my number, then proceeded to give us a retention deal, which we were clearly told, we would only be paying the new rate plan, that all transfer, cancellation, device balance remaining on my line and any other associated fees, then told us our bill would be higher at the start, then would be corrected with credits within 2 to 3 months and told us our monthly total with internet and phones grouped would be about 290. So we paid what we were told. Now after 4 months, 6 or 7 times contacting, no willingness for them to help correct their own mistake, we find out that the balance that was supposed to correct, DOUBLED! now they say we owe them $300, then the last call yesterday, ** ****** *** ***** ** * *** ******** they ******* her with unrelated deals, would not let her speak about our current issue and made her feel forced to accept a deal, which they promised would cost less, to find out, we would now owe MORE. And then proceeded to put the phone that she was told would be hers, on my line, so the wrong number, this has been an issue now for months, we have been patient and tried to work with them to resolve the issue and are now at the end of our wits, * ***** ***** **** **** ****** ** *** **** ******* **** ****** this is not the first time I personally have experienced this either. Also all this trouble after transferring a number from my dad's account, who has been a bell customer for over 30 years, very loyal bell family now rethinking ever trusting them again. We are planning to call again tomorrow to cancel the phone deal they promised would save us money, but failed to disclose they expect us to pay $400 for the phone and a $60 device setup fee, ** ****** **** ** *** **** ** *** ****** ** *** ***
