    Greenshield is the insurance company that the ************************* recommends. I am thousands of dollars out of pocket for dental surgery that was denied coverage by Greenshield. The new government dental plan for people without insurance would have paid for these procedures, which were not cosmetic, but necessary. I am looking at other options, as a result.

    I had to wait 2 hours and 11 minutes to speak to someone. You can not call this customer service and complaints roll in about this issue from what I can see is the last 5 years and they continue. Green shield put an apologetic remark after the review and states nothing about how they are going to fix this issue. Shouldn't the Better Business Bureau do something about this immediately. I have to waste my day off sitting by the phone every time and still nothing gets done. Open your wallet and hire more call takers.

    I have been trying to be reimbursed for counselling sessions by qualified and approved counselor since December, 2024. They send email saying "your claim has been processed', even if denied and no payment has been made to your account! I am trying to submit a claim for crutches that were given to me through the hospital after a fall on my bike. There is no option to properly submit this under hospital and the claim continues to get denied. Communication is vague and essentially non existent. **************** is next to impossible to reach. At one point i left my phone number 3 times for call back and I was never called back!

    These folks are criminals. Canada Life had 100% coverage for my drug, they were only paying the remainder, which was 20%, still they made me pay 75$ for a form to approve the drug to receive $25, rejected the initial request because of tiny error on the form, then after 1 month (I got the drug from my own pocket because I needed to start my treatment) they refused to pay their part but only moving forward with new requests (tiny detail on the contract). Instead of getting some benefit, I actually went on a loss. They really want your employer to pay them while make sure you avoid using them

    Criteria for this medication to be eligible for reimbursement based on the terms of the benefit plan have now been met as physician notes were not complete initially. The claim has now been processed and reimbursement has been made to the plan member. This has been resolved for the plan member.

    1/2 an hour waiting on hold just to try to register as a dependent, after a prior 1/2 an hour trying to get their website to do this. Absolute garbage customer service. I suspect these guys only get used because they're a low-cost option for employers. I also suspect they're a low cost option because they do their absolute best to keep people from actually accessing benefits. Just had my call dropped after waiting 40 mins on hold.

    They keep denying blood thinner medication for my 16 year old daughter that has a blood clot in her shoulder. They deny it even though the website says it's covered by my plan. It doesn't matter to them how much I submit showing my case. Just denied because they don't care about my families lives

    I was extremely disappointed when your employee hung up on me and did not call me back. Thats 0 stars for customers service. I spoke with other employees in the past and they provided very helpful and polite service too bad it doesnt apply to all.A very disappointed member

    My husband has been stuck with greenshield for 20 years. Ive had group benefits through other insurance companies who have always covered the remaining 20% of my husbands drugs after greenshield covers his 80%, and in turn greenshield happily covered the remaining 20% of my prescriptions after my other insurance covered 80%. I recently started a new job and have benefits through greenshield. They told me to do they will not cover the remaining 20%, only 80% of the 20%. Same goes for dental etc. This only works this way because we are both with greenshield, if my insurance was a different company they would cover the remaining 20% after my insurance. They are charging us both full premiums but punishing us for both being with them.

    Terrible service, the app is awful, the customer support is abysmal and they can't even give me my newest contract benefit package that included a number ofup updates to my package. They only one I could find was from 2018. 6 years ago is ridiculous. So I contacted customer support and voiced my concern and once again asked for an update version of my benefits package. She said no problem, then goes on to send me her most recent version of what they had and it was from 2018! This is one of the MANY problems I've wncountered. I'm not even sure if this is a real company or a front for soemthing else. F- for my score.
