My homeowners insurer retained My Key to find my family suitable temporary housing. They have fallen miserably short of their promises and in any assistance provided. I was handed from rep to rep with no one having any accountability or even recall of my needs to the next rep. The reps were, as a whole, absent, dead to repeated requests, and completely unhelpful. Despite a promise to find fully vetted, suitable housing, I was immediately told “we do not vet housing.” All they did was forward AirBNB listings (all completely unacceptable due to location, size, pet accommodation needs, or any of our requirements). I had to find my own listings and forward them to My Key only to be told - with regard to everyone - why they could not be reserved. When I found one, it was not reserved immediately and therefore, when they finally did try, it had been taken, only to have to start over again. The hotel accommodations were neither immediate or safe. They placed my demented father and 16 year old daughter in separate rooms, and even separate floors, from my wife and I despite being told we needed them with us. Once I found my own acceptable house, they refused to rent TVs for the property despite authority from my adjuster to secure whatever we needed. With ALE limits many times these meager requests, they failed to act. My Key employees would not respond to repeated emails, voicemails and texts. My family was left without any support or even instructions on where we were to go next. My insurer told me My Key was the only vendor despite my reports as to their rude, unprofessional and otherwise nonexistent customer service. They could not have done less to vet or help in this difficult, trying time for my family. Extended checkouts and early check in needs were ignored. There is no accountability, and I was repeatedly told there was no manager available to discuss my needs and concerns with the lack of any assistance in our housing needs.Customer response
