In June of 2021, Hyde Sprinkler Service was hired to install an irrigation system to the backyard of my property. After 5 months the job remained incomplete. In November of 2021, I paid the quote in full on the promise of Hyde Sprinkler Service to complete this job the following spring (there is also notation of this on the invoice photo provided). Prior to the reinitiation of work in 2022 both my wife and I informed the owner of Hyde Sprinkler Service and his employees that we did not want anything to be done which might incur further expense to us as the homeowners. Employees did return in June 2022 to (poorly) complete their work. I still consider this to be incomplete as the system does not provide adequate coverage to the yard. I later received text messages in August 2022 requesting additional payment (unspecified amount) despite the job being paid for in November of the previous year. I declined to make further payment in August of 2022. On December 1st of 2022 I received notice that the owner of Hyde Sprinkler Service had placed a builder's lien on the property owned by my wife and I. While this is not a particularity large sum of money it is significant to my family at this time with my wife being away from work while on maternity leave. Aside from this, I believe Hyde Sprinkler Services to be one of the most unprofessional service providers that I have ever encountered. This is based on: 1) extremely poor quality of work. 2) inability to communicate with customers. 3) repeatedly failing to show up on planned dates for work/business meetings. 4) damage to customer property. 5) trespassing into garage and workshed with removal and use of customer's tools without permission. 6) use of customer's materials from garage and shed to complete job and not deducting this from quote.
