Important information
- Additional Info:The Better Business Bureau of Chicago and Northern Illinois has received correspondence from ValueMags.com indicating that consumers are currently receiving telemarketing style phone calls which appear to come from ValueMags' phone number of 800-303-0344. However, these calls are not originating from ValueMags but in fact are a form of phone fraud known as caller I.D. Spoofing wherein consumer caller ID is displaying false information.
According to the FCC, as of March 17th 2009, this practice is not yet considered a crime.
If you have received unwanted telephone calls that appear to be from this number and are not from ValueMags.com, we suggest contacting the Federal Communications Commission to file a complaint, as well as your legislative representatives to express your concerns regarding this practice. Consumers might also consider contacting their phone company.
