Disgusting company that uses terrible tactics to extort business owners from their hard earned money. How is this company even allowed to continue to harm the public is beyond me

They took down every five star reviews I received from customers they gave me after i had to pay a lot of money for the leads and ads put on Yelp and out of 16 reviews they only left two reviews one was a 1 star review which was a complete lie and the other is a 4 star reviews only because the lady couldn't see the fifth star which was fine with us but the 13 5 star reviews have all been removed. I'm taking the person to civil court who lied and left the one star. She even spoke about two funerals. Yelp did nothing about it even though it was in writing that we don't start work until 9am we were there at 829am I didn't receive her message until 604 am and I live 45 miles away from her she didn't even have the courtesy to tell us not to come. Yelp did nothing but leave her lies up there they also took money off of my old debit card with no permission I have not been refunded at all

Yelp has TOTALLY FRAUDULENT business practices. This is the first time I've been SCAMMED: 1. Yelp represented that it charged by clicks TO my ad, but actually charges by clicks NAVIGATING WITHIN ADS. 2. Yelp charged for MY OWN CLICKS to set up my ad and have reviews posted. 3. Yelp emailed my first ($0) bill, then DIDN'T EMAIL SUBSEQUENT BILLS, with charges. Consequence: I had no idea I'd gone beyond my initial credit, and was charged three times, for hundreds of dollars. 4. Yelp posted FRAUDULENT DATA about my leads, claiming that I received certain numbers of phone calls and visits to my sites, but I DIDN'T get calls or visits. 5. Yelp had NO DOCUMENTATION for what it claims as my number of 'clicks', astronomical compared to what was possible. 6. Yelp twice RAISED MY BUDGET to double it, without my knowledge. 7. Yelp DID NOT REPLY to my dispute about my bills, just sent an email about where I could find its charges within my ad page. 8. The three "Agreements" with Yelp, totaling 11,070 WORDS, include:"Client will not issue any press release or make public statements about its relationship with Yelp... without Yelp’s prior written consent." (We can't leave negative reviews about Yelp?) 9. Agreements also include: "a 'click' is each instance, at YELP'S SOLE DISCRETION, that a user acts on..." (i.e. they can claim any number of 'clicks') 10. Throughout my contested their billing, Yelp DID NOTHING to substantiate any of its claims of data, clicks, visits, leads, etc. CONCLUSION: Yelp systematically DEFRAUDS its clients, then provides little to no means of disputing its charges.

Worst sales tactic by a company. The sales person that called me showed me I would be set up for $30 in ads. He did not point out that it was $30 per day. That would have been $900 per month!! But he over emphasized a $300 credit I would have. As a small business there is no way we could afford $900 a month in ads. After I complained to their customer service they opened an investigation to see if I could be reimbursed for the ads that I was charged for. They denied the reimbursement even though their sales tactics were very predatory.

I would have left it on Yelps page but it would not let me. Their review process allows for customers to demand a lower price or they will leave a bad review but if honest customers write reviews they are hidden. I honestly believe it comes down to whether or not someone pays then to advertise.

In my experience with 4 different companies and 4 different business profiles, yelp ads have been a total scam. These ads have not produced leads or jobs in any way shape or form. Months of running ads, months of them taking payments, months of no return. Do not run ads with yelp at all!! The couple "leads" that they say came through were spam callers. The couple "leads" that messaged, were almost like fake inquires to keep me thinking it would pan out. Don't make the mistake I made, don't run ads with yelp.

Continually call and offer incentives to get you to advertise on their platform and make it impossible to cancel account without speaking with an agent who are their only available typical business hours (not when I have time to call) and if they do answer they pause the account instead of cancel and when the ads start up again they are at a higher rate and frequency than originally run at do by the time you realize they are running you have an outstanding balance. Total scam. Agents who call and offer incentives to advertise always promise things that they don't do. When asked to speak with a manager they offer to have someone call in 5-7 business days. Will ***** do business with them and strongly suggest no one else doesn't either.

To anyone considering Yelp as a resource for selecting businesses, I encourage you to explore other options. As a small business owner, *** poured my heart and hard work into growing my business and earning positive reviews across multiple platforms. Unfortunately, Yelp has proven to be the most frustrating to work with.Recently, two of my 5-star reviews were removed by Yelp, dropping my profile back to 0 visible reviews. This has a significant impact on my business, as many potential customers look to ********************** for validation. When I reached out to inquire about why the reviews were removed, I received vague responses. They stated that reviews can be removed if they dont meet their guidelines but couldnt specify which guidelines were violated. Its disheartening to see a platform penalize small businesses like mine unless you pay for their advertising or services. Yelps practices feel less about supporting businesses and more about leveraging them for profit. Im committed to serving my customers with excellence, and I hope youll consider supporting small businesses directly or through other platforms that truly reflect the hard work we do.

I went online to look into advertising for my new Tree Service. I somehow went to the Yelp site and opened a free account. Yelp cold called me and prompted me to get a account that I pay for and I declined because I didn't have e a drivers license at the time and I didn't need advertising yet. Since then I have been charged 1200 dollars. They have caused my bank account to charge me overdraft fees. This company is very misleading and deceptive. Beware if you receive a call from them if you open a free account. Don't even talk just hang up. They are a bunch of thieves
