The purpose of the BBB Charity Accreditation program is to strengthen public confidence in charities and to promote trustworthy charity practices. The BBB 20 Standards for Charity Accountability go beyond the requirements of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Includes a section for Resources for Charities, Charitable Webinars (recordings of webinars for charities that the Ohio AG’s Office produced), and the newly-launched Charitable University.

This website contains information about Kentucky’s charitable solicitation laws as well as information about registering a charity in Kentucky.

Charting Impact (Effectiveness Policy and Report)
Charting Impact is a tool developed in part by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance to help organizations develop an effectiveness report as part of their strategic planning process. There is also an accompanying worksheet and Example Effectiveness Policy.

This tool can help charities see how to break down expenses into program, fundraising, and administrative categories.

The BBB Wise Giving Alliance’s privacy policy is an example of a policy that meets the requirements of Standard 18.
