Coffee n Connections
New opportunities. New ideas. New friends.
Coffee n Connections (formerly known as Community Connections) is a comfortable way to network with other women and share ideas. Each Coffee n Connection is facilitated by leaders who are active WiBN participants. Whether the meeting is in-person or virtual, even those who are shy about networking walk away with new contacts and confidence. The sessions are led in a round-table format. In addition to networking, each session includes discussion of a topic important to professional women.
Lunch n Learn
Lunch and learn with friends.
A WiBN Lunch n Learn provides two important things: education and relationship building. During a fast 75-minute session, we eat lunch, network and hear from some of the smartest women around. Topics range from technology, personal development, business, leadership and more. Lunch n Learns are on the fourth Tuesday of most months from 11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m. A holiday celebration and vendor fair in late November/early December takes the place of the November and December Lunch n Learns. Recognition
WiBN recognizes professional women who are extraordinary leaders and role models every year with three different awards.
The Women to Watch recognition program was developed to acknowledge professional women who exhibit extraordinary leadership, community service and professional achievement. Candidates are nominated by past honorees, community leaders, employers, colleagues and friends. A committee of past honorees select the Women to Watch who are then recognized for their influence, impact and contributions to advancing other women. This recognition is not just an award for the honorees, it is also a call for them to take their professional and personal lives to another level and help lead and inspire other women.
The Jeanne Porter Career Achievement Award is awarded annually to a woman who continues to inspire, influence and impact the business community and the world around them well beyond their initial recognition as a Women of Impact. This award is meant to recognize an impactful professional legacy, like that of Jeanne Porter, founder of WiBN.
The WiBN Youth Enterprise Award recognizes the effort of a female or a group of young women between the ages of 15-22 to create and implement a charitable program or business that changes the lives of women in the community at large.
The culmination of the WiBN recognition and award program is the WiBN Awards Gala, a formal event held annually to celebrate all honorees.
Annual Leadership Conference
Trends, new strategies and innovations come about all the time in the professional world. The WiBN Annual Leadership Conference helps you stay up-to-date by providing a full range of business and personal growth insights from a female perspective. Speakers, attendees and exhibitors are industry experts and solution-providers who can help elevate your business or career. WiBN calls for conference speaker proposals early each year.

Mentor Connection
Mentor Connection prepares women to become effective leaders and positive role models in the community and beyond. The mission is to facilitate the development of emerging leaders by using the education, knowledge, experience and skills of established female leaders in the community; and by encouraging best practices in their respective careers. WiBN seeks applicants for Mentor Connection who represent a highly diverse group of women, including race/ethnicity, field of work and types of employment responsibilities. They may be in the early stages of their careers, entrepreneurs or women who are in career transition who have a sincere desire to develop their leadership skills. They are paired with experienced professional leaders from the Miami Valley.
