My mother is an elderly person and suffers from mild dementia. On 6/13/2024 she called a Spanish radio station which had an advertisement about a free travel givaway. She had to answer a very simple question to win the prize, but she was told to provide her credit card number and was charged $408.24. On 6/20/2024, she received a letter with information about the payment and travel destinations. I called them on 6/20/2024 in the attempt to get a total refund but was told that a manager would call me the next day. He didn't call. I called again today. 6/24/2024, and I was transferred to the manger. He completely refused to refund the money. I explained to him that my mom has memory issues, and did not realize she was paying the $408.24 that she was charged. He said thar my mom sounded fine over the phone. I believe this person has done this to so many vulnerable people, and he should be stopped. At least people should have the option to get a refund if they wish to do so.
