On 10/21/24 I called to reschedule an annual appointment, from a later date to an earlier date, with Bowker Mechanical due to a gas smell in our garage. Our garage heater was the concern and in the past has been a part of the annual maintenance, along with our furnace, gas fireplace, and HVAC unit. The appointment was moved to 10/22/24, with a note from the scheduler about the garage heater. On 10/22/24, the mechanic arrived and inspected the garage heater and no other unit. He stated nothing was amiss and left within 30 minutes. I received an invoice for $210.00, the same as the previous years invoice which included all units mentioned above, even though they were not inspected. I emailed that night to inquire about the non-inspection of the other units. I received an email from Bowker with an apology and a confirmation that the appointment was scheduled for maintenance of all units, however the mechanic only read the garage heater notes. Within this same email an appointment was offered to complete the inspection on the other units. All other units missed were inspected during that appointment. That evening I received another bill for an increase of $95. When I asked about the additional time billed I received a response that the mechanic noted he was there for 30 minutes and billed for the half hour. In all previous annual appointments all units were examined and concluded within an hour or less, and that is what was billed. I believe the additional half hour billed is an error and needs to be rectified. The maintenance of all units occurred within only an hour and the return appointment has been noted as the mechanics error via email. I should only be responsible for the initial $210 first hour rate. Im actually quite surprised by the response and billing from Bowker Mechanical as they have been very accurate in the past. Im looking for a rectified bill of the hour of $210.00 and to not include the additional 30 minutes additional bill of $95.00
