      UAB has always taken care of me and my family over the years. It has the best Doc's in the state and the best facilities i have ever seen.

      I had a cervical steroid injection and but they prepped my lumbar instead of cervical and when he stuck the needle in i woke up to the worst pain that shot through my whole body, he said you felt that and ordered more meds intravenously before he continue, now i have paralysis, drop foot . chronic denervation, but put on the report that there was no complications, but i would think waking up to a needle hitting something in your spine is a complication, and also not prepping the right spot for the procedure, is probably why i stay sick with flu like symptoms and clear liquid from my nose and ear, and the bilateral mastoid fluid, but they never did any blood work out of almost 2 years to see if it could be from the injection and haven't done a mri on my thoric spine now i have problems with incontinence probably because i have a distal cord problem now, no hospital should be able to get away with not documenting everything and also not doing tests after, they said my vitals were normal when i checked out but on the records while monitoring my ********************* said my vital were low when i checked out,

      I arrived at 11:55 and completed paperwork. I noticed people were being called to provide insurance information. ****** (the gentleman at the front desk) called me to provide insurance information at 12:35pm. When I asked if this means I have a longer wait he said there are quite a few people ahead of you. I noticed that everyone that arrived BEFORE me had already been called and 2 people who arrived AFTER me (whom he has immediately asked for insurance) had also already been called. I asked what I did wrong regarding the process and he said some people had appointments (eg the lady he went to ********** with, which was part of a conversation I overheard) but that my insurance was not in the system. Long story short, its really unfortunate that there isnt a system to at least note who turns in their paperwork in what order. If you go, do NOT take your seat until they ask for your insurance. Massive fail ******. I left at 12:36
