      Sedgwick is my insurance provider through HyreCar. My car was damaged by a renter, I filed a claim within the required time frame. I do not agree with the amount Sedgwick is issuing for the damage. They did not allow me to submit any official quotes from body shops. I explained to them that I did not agree with the amount and I have been trying to get in contact with my representative **** ******** for over a week. No response and I cannot get anyone else on the phone. I am now stuck with a damage on my vehicle that cannot be paid for with the amount they have ruled on.

      I have A LOT to say about this company and absolutely NONE of it is good! I wanted to leave ZERO stars but the site won't let me. back in 2018 I was kidnapped sexually assaulted and abused. I couldn't go to work due to my injuries but Sedgwick refused to sign off on my leave of absence because I didn't have a primary. the police report and ER documents were not enough. Fast forward it in now 2020 and im suffering from a bad knee, panic attacks and anxiety. I took a leave of absence from work starting April 21st- June 1st. Because of their unprofessionalism and lack of sense of urgency, my leave had to be extended all the way until August 1st. During this time I provided them with every bit of information they required to process my claim including contact from my therapist, A therapist they said was qualified enough as long as she felt confident and comfortable signing short term disability papers. My therapist believed I should take a break from work due to sever PTSD and anxiety attacks I was suffering due to the assault I was a victim of. After Sedgwick (now York risk service group) had been in contact with my therapist for months about my mental health and disability papers, they told her she was not qualifies enough to make the determination that I needed the time off. I confronted Sedgwick about this statement and they denied it. I sent them police reports and photos of my battered body as proof of my PTSD and they said the information provided "shows a history and explanation for my PTSD but it does not explain the anxiety or inability to work". Fast forward again, now to August 1. After 4 long months of dealing with them they decided to deny payment for my disability leave. When I asked for reasoning they said "unless I needed to be prescribed medication or put on suicide watch, they are not obligated to pay me". This company is completely inhumane! Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had in my life. I am now unemployed, still suffering from the PTSD and can no longer afford therapy or the option of prescribed medication all thanks to Sedgwick. Whoever came up with the policies for this company, which seems to be find any reason to deny payment at all cost, needs to be evaluated! It is absolutely appalling the way they treat people in need!!!
