I had a roof replacement in June of 2019 in which 3 skylights were replaced. After the first heavy downpour, all 3 of my skylights were leaking. I contacted the person who sold me the contract and he said that he would look into it. A crew was sent out, and I was told that they corrected the problem. Several months went by and I really never noticed any additional leaks from the skylights. Upon another heavy rain, the skylights were leaking again. I contacted the same salesperson, and he assured me he would again take care of it. The crew again came out to my home and inspected the skylights. At this time, I was made aware that 5 Star Roofing had ordered the incorrect skylights to begin with, and they did not fit the holes in my roof. They had altered the skylight kits in an effort to remedy the problem. For the third time, I was assured that it would be corrected, and that if it happened again, they would take the skylights out and replace them with the correct skylights or redo the openings in the roof. So, again the skylights are leaking. I contacted the same salesperson and was told, "I don't work there anymore." I called 5 Star Roofing and presented my dilemma. They sent out a very nice gentleman and crew who inspected the roof and wrote a report to send to the home office saying that the skylights needed to be replaced. I have contacted 5 Star Roofing on many occasions and no one answers the phone. I finally spoke to a person who told me that she had not received the report from the home office. I am still waiting for an update. No one has every called me back. Now my 5 year warranty is expired, though I have been fighting this for several years. This is a terrible way to run a company.
