I would leave 0 stars if I could. We had a Driver who was STUCK in their shop for a WEEK with a bad air compressor. Not only was the wrong part ordered. They couldn't seem to get anything done. The ONLY mechanic left in the afternoon and we were told basically oh well. Our Driver luckily found a job during the weekend because they wouldn't have had anywhere to go during the weekend.
Not only did we receive nothing but trouble trying to get the correct part in. When we finally got the bill we were gauged by leaps and bounds. $*** to be Towed 4 miles. The part that was ordered was marked up by $*** and half of it was kept by the shop. We will be letting everyone we know in the trucking business to steer clear of this place. Their prices are outrageous and their service is beyond subpar. This is the WORST shop we have EVER had one of our Drivers enter. Which is frankly amazing.

First of all I'm sorry that your experience didn't meet your expectations. Tire Tech Inc. prides itself on delivering top notch service at a reasonable price. We employ 17 mechanics not 1 and the mechanics work Monday through Friday 7:00AM till 5:00PM. Now that that is clarified. The compressor had to be ordered from the dealer because none of the aftermarket places in or around Birmingham had the compressor. The compressor was ordered from the I************ dealership using the last eight of the vin# (********). The I************ dealership ordered the wrong part (out of our control but still apologize). Once we received the wrong part we called the I************ dealership back and reordered the part (we paid for priority freight $******), because the dealership sent us the wrong part we didn't see it to be fair to pass this freight charge on to the customer so we absorbed this expense. Tire Tech Inc. does not have tow trucks therefore we hire towing companies to haul trucks into our shop and pass that cost (what we pay the other company) on to our customers. We have no control over towing companies rates as they are their own business. I apologize that you feel the towing companies are over charging in Birmingham. The part was not marked up $****** it was marked up a set percentage amount that we use for all of our customers. Tire Tech Inc. has to make a profit on mechanics labor and on the parts that we sell in order to cover overhead and stay in business. As far as keeping part of the compressor I'm completely lost on what your talking about. Are you referring to the old compressor (the CORE) ? Certain parts that are bought like a compressor, starter, batteries etc. have what's know as a core charge on them. Which means that we have to send the old part back to the manufacturer or we have to purchase the CORE. You all could've kept the core if you wanted it but Tire Tech Inc. would've had to pass that cost along to you. The cost of the broken compressor CORE was $****** our customers typically don't want their broken parts back especially if there is a CORE charge on them. Again I apologize for this we should've asked you if you wanted to buy the broken air compressor core back.
