Ive been without hot water for over a week. Ive placed multiple calls to maintenance (both day and on-call) and office members in order to fix the issue. No one has reached back out nor has anyone attempted to come to my apartment to fix the issue. With the drop in temperature, the water in my apartment has been ice cold, yet, on the voicemail to on-call maintenance its stated that no hot water is a maintenance emergency. I chose to move into The Park at Hoover apartments because I was told they were under new management and would be ran better than the reviews were stating. I was happy to pay the amount stated for a clean & safe studio apartment with water power gas and Hoover taxes included. I enjoyed the idea of the workout room and pool access. Fast forward to 8.16.23. I had a leak from somewhere under my bathroom floor for 4 months that was never handled but mysteriously disappeared after they worked on the main water one day. Also have dealt with mold gnats the entire time, those got better after the water was worked on also, but are still an issue. There is no gym access and if you go to the pool you will get high from second hand marijuana use. I have had no hot water since 8/10/23 and no communication about what is being done to fix this. Other random apartments have also been without power since 8/10/23! I bet there is mold and I know there are bugs. I do not have the money to move. I do expect answers and for these issues to be dealt with and fixed soon. A sincere apology to all the tenants affected and some sort of compensation would be a step in the right direction. Someone needs to do better, or this place will be shut down soon! If these issues cannot be repaired correctly and timely, then I need for the owners of these apartments to step up and pay for me to move!Initial Complaint

I signed a lease with The Park at Hoover apartment on April 30, 2023. The a/c unit has never worked properly. The dishwasher is broken it has never worked. I have spiders inside and out. The smoke detector constantly beeps, and it is loose from the wall. I have mold in the bathroom ceiling that has been sprayed over. Shower rod coming a loose from the wall. My car was towed on July 11, 2023. I went to the office to find out why they towed my car. I was told by management it was parked illegally. After 9:30 PM I came home from work, and had no place to park. Management told me that I would have to park a distance away from my apartment. I have pictures of other cars parked in the same location but they weren't towed. I want the repairs fixed. I don't want to be lied to anymore. I want reimbursement for the towing of my vehicle. Management told me that cars were being towed for flat tires, and expired tags etc.... none of which applied to me.Initial Complaint

The park at Hoover has unliveable conditions! I went without air for 8 days! There is sewer water leaking out of my toilet they will not answer the phone when u call them and even if they do answer they still want come fix the problems! They shut the water off all the time! I broke my kneecap because I had a leak that they wouldnt ever fix! We have no bathroom sink that has running water so we have to use the kitchen sink to brush our teeth! Theres black mold in some of the apts! This place of business needs to be shut down!Initial Complaint

On June 14, 2023, my daughter and I applied for a 2-Bedroom (Juniper floor plan) unit for rent at The Park at Hoover II. On Saturday June 17, 2023, at 2:36 am, we received our approval notice via email for a unit at The Park at Hoover Phase 1. At the time of filing the application for the unit you are required to authorize a payment of $250 dollars total, that breaks down to $ ***** for each application and $1***** administrative fees. I received a phone call from ********************* stating that the unit I applied for was on their phase II plan and was listed for rent in error. I asked what units were available for rent on their phase I and he said he would check and give me a call back. A week later I still havent heard from ******. On June 23, 2023, I contacted the business using telephone number ************, because the listed number of ************ goes straight to voicemail and spoke with *****. ***** informed me that the listings on their website, **************************************************************, had the correct availability and when they were available for rent. That information was incorrect because while we were on the phone, I was inquiring about other floor plans in which she told me they were not available until September 2023. I requested all my money back because I need to move in August. ***** informed me that I was only entitled to the administrative fees and not the credit check. I am asking for assistance in pursuing all my money back because I applied under false pretenses that the unit, I applied for was available for rent. It is not my fault they listed a unit that wasnt available. I would never have applied if they did not have units available in July. On 11/10/22 I filed a maintenance issue in my apartment about not having hot water and heat. I have had a non working boiler for over a month and to this day it has not been fixed. I pay $1,198.26 of rent on time. I have had to stay in a hotel because it took a week and a half to fix a huge water leak from the ceiling that cause to spread throughout my apartment making the situation worse. They did not fully complete cleaning up my apartment causing mold to spread throughout the kitchen walls and cabinets. This is an unsafe environment for my newborn. I have filed many maintenance reports almost everyday in hopes that it can be resolved. I hope with this complaint I can have this issue fixed and this company can care more about their tenants.
