1 starI read the reviews concerning Davidson Homes and still foolishly purchased a new home recently in **************, ***** AL. We attended a walkthrough shortly after purchasing the Davidson home and found problems that they said would be quickly resolved. They said that they wanted to wait until the 60 day walkthrough before making any repairs. The first walkthrough had three attending from Davidson Homes. The 60 day walkthrough just occurred and only one person showed up with a up yours attitude from the beginning. Almost every door in the home is binding. The front door has to be pushed on with your shoulder to lock the deadbolt. There are three bathrooms in the home. One bathroom has a door that is so warped that an individual walking by the door can see a person sitting on the toilet. The warranty inspector agreed to repair this door, I was very surprised. The walk in shower in the master bathroom had four spider cracks in the bottom. The inspector agreed to make this repair. I found out that this was a ********* Company repair so Davidson Homes had no issues. During the initial walkthrough we saw what seemed to be a dirty bathtub that we thought could be easily cleaned. When we moved in I took my handy dandy Barkeepers Friend to clean the bathtub. It wasnt dirty it was damaged. The warranty inspector said that the dark ring around the tub was caused by them leak testing the tub. I asked him about the repair and the inspector essentially said it was our tough luck and that they would not make a repair. I have made bought five new homes in my career. I am retired now and have never had a problem before now. So, if looking at a Davidson home you as a buyer should be super aware and run if possible.Review fromTerri L

4 starsWhen you buy a mass produced home or townhome, youre going to have problems. If you can identify them within a year, Davidson makes good on its promise to fix the problems. I can only say good things about ** responsiveness to my issues. They are friendly and they do their best to make right. My advice to Davidson Home buyers is make a list of the little things for them to fix and live in the home to find the big things. You have a year. Make good use of that time. Im in the ******* region, ***.Review fromSandra M

1 starWe bought a home built by Davidson Homes. We noticed our roof was showing allot of wear and shingles were missing. We've had it inspected by qualified roofers. They said there is no felt under the shingles. They cut allot of corners. Our next door neighbor's roof has a leak. Run from these builders!Review fromJim M

1 starWe moved into our Davidson home four years ago and while most of the more obvious defects and unfinished work was SLOWLY attended to during our warranty period, We just discovered that our gas fireplace was missing two logs when we moved in. According to a service professional, the unit shows indications of having possibly been a worn, second hand unit. The gas log assembly always appear too small in the firebox, and now I know why.The gas log thermocouple had failed after less than four years duty. Im worried that this gas log is a health and safety threat, so we are stuck with spending a couple of thousand bucks to have a suitable new unit properly installed. Another problem we had was a recurring rainwater leak apparently through the roof above master bath. That leak was repaired under the warranty period a time our two and we had to pay to repair it again after the warranty period. It does not good to call Davidson because its like they no longer know you after your warranty expires. I do not recommend buying your next home from Davidson.Review fromMaribel C

1 starDavidson is c*** It took 7 months to replace a shower door. Day 1, we noticed the grsss was a mess. There waa fead grass next to green grass. I was told that it would grow together in a year. Day 2 of living there the front yard had to be dug up for a leak. Day 5, the tiles in the shower were so sharp that they cut my foot. Davidson stated that the seal was not covered in warranty. The paint started to peel from the metal surfaces outside. I was told that it would be fixed closer to the 1 year ***** Needless to say, they never fixed that.BEWARE BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!Review fromwayne A

1 starPoor workmanship and no accountability during the building of their homes. Since purchasing our home just over a year ago, we have had HVAC issues, electrical issues, plumbing issues, structural issues, siding issues, concrete issues, tile issues, sod issues, and drywall issues! They take shortcuts on their warranty work and refuse to put our home back the way we purchased it. Upper management doesnt care! They wont return calls and there is no way to get ahold of the higher **** They have a 1.3 out of 5 stars at the BBB. They hire illegals to do their work and they dont hold them accountable. We had drywall that had to get ripped out for our plumbing issues. Much to our surprise, we found all kinds of construction trash and food trash that was swept behind the walls and drywalled over. They will not warranty the concrete work on the driveway and sod even though the problems were from shotty workmanship and bad product. Im not even sure the contractors they hire are even licensed professionals. Most seem illegal and cant speak English. They have sent Spanish speaking workers to our home who dont speak a lick of English and left us to try and communicate with them. Also, my daughter has asthma and they still havent sent a cleaning crew to clean out the duct work or just the general cleaning. We are left with drywall dust caked in our HVAC system, on our blinds, baseboards, floors, and carpet. My daughter is struggling with her asthma attacks. They tell you that they are going to make the repairs a certain way and then backtrack on what they promise. I would strongly suggest finding another builder to purchase your home from. I would also strongly suggest that if anyone at Davidson Homes actually cares, for them to reach out to my husband or I. So far Im convinced the higher *** dont care either. BUYERS BEWARE!Update: still no accountability from upper management! DO NOT buy from Davidson Homes! Many in my neighborhood are having the same issuesReview fromDario N

We closed on our house March 29 of this year. We had standing water in two places on our property and the warranty folks treated it as ground water (stream) coming up. So for 4 months the warranty folks would not even answer my emails or calls related to the standing water. I noticed my water bill going up even though we were gone for three weeks and told them that the meter ran even when the water was shut off to the house. They finally sent their landscape guy out and he dug up the area. There was a leak in the main water line and two leaks in the sprinkler system. So for four months they let the water leak and wouldn't even investigate. Currently, the back yard sprinkler valves leak, the front yard sprinkler head is off and covered with sod (very bad sod laid down over the hole they dug - is now dead and unsightly), and one of my sprinkler heads is outside the property line. The warranty folks said they would send them out again to check on it but still haven't after many days (The landscape guy was so rude that I said not to send him anymore). They are not interested in getting the issue resolved and I will probably have to hire a contractor to fix all of the problems and just go ahead and void the warranty. I wouldn't buy another home from Davidson Homes. Warning.Davidson Homes, LLC

Thank you for your patience as we addressed your recent claims. We want to confirm that each claim has been handled promptly and all warrantable issues have been resolved as quickly as possible.Regarding the reported leak, our investigation found that there was no issue with the main line. It was determined that ground water was the cause of the problem, which falls outside the scope of our warranty coverage. However, we identified and corrected a leak in one zone of the irrigation system within two weeks of submission. We understand you have additional concerns about the irrigation system. Our team will be out to investigate these concerns on August 30, 2024, to ensure everything is functioning properly.Davidson Homes remains committed to inspecting/addressing any future claims promptly for the remainder of your warranty period. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out.Review fromStacy A
