I purchased a camper from Bankston in Huntsville at the time of purchase I told them that I planned to live in the camper and that if I had issues with the camper I could not take it in to a dealer and leave to be repaired and they sold me an extended warranty so that if I had any issues they would send someone out to fix the problem and now that I problems they told me to call the manufacturer which I did and they told me I had to bring it in to a dealership leave it for them to diagnose then the dealership would send the claim to the manufacturer then the manufacturer would contact the company that made the part to replace or repair. In the mean time I have a $70,000 camper that the toilet leaks, the shower door leaks, the front door deadbolt will not lock, dinning window blind does not work, and the refrigerator does not work and the only way to get these things fixed is to carry it to a dealership and leave 3 or 4 weeks to which will leave me homeless.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 17046182, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as they follow through and repair or replace my refrigerator. I spoke to them last Thursday and was told they would contact someone in my area the next day to replace the refrigerator but I have not had any updates since then. I am very skeptical due to being lied to by the salesperson and finance guy telling me if I would buy the extended warranty they would dispatch someone to fix any issues I have which according to they guy that called me is not true.Initial Complaint

We had what we thought was a small leak in the fall of 2021 was able to get the motorhome into bankston in March. ***** called damage was alot worse than we thought, he said warranty doesn't cover leaks on 3/7/22 contact insurance company. On 3/8 our ins company contacted them heard nothing until we started complaining on 3/28 finally set up a insurance inspector to go look at it. On 4/7 heard from our insurance company that bankston and inspector agreed it was a manufacturer defect. ***** has now been avoiding us not returning calls tell us he will get it taken care of since 4/7 when he told my husband he couldn't find proof we bought it from them and it was our fault for not noticing the leak sooner. My husband has called 5 times since he talked to him last Thursday and nothing its sitting there rotting away as we are paying cancelation fees for camping trips and paying monthly for the motorhome. A manufacturer defect means it is 100% covered and he should have know that when we brought it in on 3/7 instead of not knowing until the insurance inspector showed up. Its a manufacturer defect so they should have it completely fixed to new condition as it wasn't anything we did wrong. We have many more trips planned and thought we would have it back by the beginning of April. Now we don't know if they are working on it or what they are doing. I would be happy to have it back completely fixed by 5/8 so we can make it to our next trip. Never ever use bankston to purchase or fix your RV they are the worse!Business response

June 2020, my wife and I purchased a travel travel. Camper had some delaminating issues on one side of camper. Due to Covid, inventory was low but was assured by salesman that the issue would be taken care of. After 17 months, I am now told by the Huntsville location the issue is out of warranty and will not be corrected by them. They claim the Florence location never submitted a claim and there is nothing they can do.Business response

Mr **** has interviewed all involved and has taken action quickly. Mr. ********** in Ardmore has over the camper for repairs. I just hate that I hadn't talked to these guys sooner.
