On march 27, 2023 I flew to ********** to purchase a vehicle form Exclusive auto. i carried a cashiers check for full payment of a 2019 **** truck. I executed the sale and signed a power of attorney for the title to be transferred & ******* to me "in a few days". I still haven't received title and am getting NO COOPERATION from the dealership!!i have emails to share but can't attach them here. Here are a few excerpts........... below. Here is a cut and paste of the emails about my missing title for the truck i picked up and paid for on March 27, 2023. I was told that the title would be fedx'd in few days, almost two months ago. the office manager has become increasingly hostile and uncooperative. I've asked the salesman (****** ********) to have the owner call me several times and he hasn't for a month. The guy (*******************) who does the closing paperwork said he's going to help resolve the title issue weeks ago but hasn't followed ** either. Please help!

I have not been able to locate the title, so I sent it over to our team that works on obtaining duplicates.
My reply when I received the above response on Wed and resent it today:
Do you all have any way to expedite this? If you have a lien release I might be able to get a title from the state of ** if it is going to take a while to get one from **.

I am not sure on the process there as that is a entirely different team that handles duplicates. I can email the a team member from over there and see what information I can find out
If you can please trust that I am doing my best to get this resolved for you. I dont enjoy following up daily and waiting on someone else to get me a title but it is out of my control.

You have not told me when your return from being out of the country, this information would be helpful.

Upon reading this complaint I gathered the facts of what happened. This title was lost in the mail by our floorplan company ****************. It was Not even our fault the title was lost, but nonetheless it's 100% our responsibility to provide our customer the title to the vehicle purchased from **. These things take a little bit of time to process because we have to file for a duplicate title. Duplicate titles are not a problem to get we have to do that all the time as customers loose titles, or they get lost in the mail or ***** or whatever the case may be etc..... We have to go back down the line & go back to where we purchased the vehicle from to obtain the title. Basically, the last registered owner & or the selling dealer the vehicle was traded in at can obtain a duplicate title. This is not the easiest process because of fraud & theft so you have to provide the correct documentation & go through the proper channels to obtain the replacement/duplicate title. I just wanted to explain the process so all would know what we are dealing with.
Yesterday the customer who made this complaint called back into the dealership & spoke with ******************* (the person who the complaint was filed against) & it sounds like both parties might have just been having a really hard day when this occurred. Apologies were made & we are on top of getting the duplicate title issued. The dealer we got this truck from said it would probably take **** days to get this worked out. We have no issues with this customer & can understand the customers frustrations & we are making this top priority to get this very important customer his title.
As far as I know the customer and us are on the same page now & we have no issues with each other were just waiting out the **** day period to obtain this title that was lost in the mail by ****************.
