The miles-to-pay ratio could use some improvement. Driving 39 miles for just $20 doesn’t seem sustainable for me. Additionally, it often takes nearly an hour to get home after completing a job, and my earnings mainly go towards gas costs. I believe Spark has the potential to attract and retain great workers by re-evaluating their pay structure to better align with the distance traveled.

    WRONGFULLY DEACTIVATED…..
Worked, incentives one day. The very next day, DEACTIVATED! Reason given, based on the results from my background check. Say what…. The background check results came back “Clear”. The same results for Grubhub. I can work for Grubhub but not Spark. Uhm…And, metrics for Spark is very good. So please tell me, why was my account deactivated??? I’m taking this higher….Attorney!

Disgraceful trip pay. They allow customers to remove their tip for up to 24 hours which is unfair to drivers! They don’t always let drivers see what is in the trip that they’ll be delivering. They’ll claim there’s 1 item but that can mean there’s 10 of one item! Like today, 10 fifty pound bags of landscaping rocks. On my side it showed me one item that is 40-50 lbs. They try to trick you into hauling excessive loads. They reduce your acceptance rate if you don’t take whatever offer they throw at you which then will reduce the number of offers you’ll even receive. Sometimes I’d sit for 2 hours waiting for an offer while other drivers have been loaded, left and returned for another.

This service provided to Walmart Plus members is not working correctly. The App will reactive your delivery account for no legitimate reason while information is “confirmed” if you are a 1099 employee the established good faith relationship has been tainted. Do not trust this service as a source of stable employment.

I was deactivated immediately appealed it this is the dispute. Spark initiated everyone to comply with the new Real I.D. or drivers were going to be kicked off the app and deactivated per sms mass text. I had ensured that my marital name change was up to date with the SSA and had all my information current and up to date with their real I.D. standards. Sent in my insurance because they had sent me an email asking that I update my insurance so I complied. They sent email back in response saying it was good to go. I go to spark application to change my private information and could not edit name change through spark application so I went to FAQ and researched name change and it says to contact customer service. I comply with their policy to call and update it the repesentative said it was good to go. I upload my real I.D. and immediately after it was received. My spark driver (spark now box on app) box at the bottom of the page was pink and said that spark was unable to identify me and that I had been DEACTIVATED. I attempted to explain this to customer service. I was given an email address and told to wait for them to reapond amd not to call them back. I emailed them and called back two or three more times and recieved basically the same treatment and waited another week like they suggested. I later called back again asked about my appeal I submitted. She gave me a new email so I emailed that department. I then recieved a notification in my spark app that the decision was upheld. Then they later respond in an email that they would send me an sms after they review my appeal after saying they did and then sent in an sms the identical message they previously sent in my spark app. No reason as to why or what policy I violated. It constitutes arbitrary and bad faith enforcement of their inconsistancy of their identity verification process and policy, especially since my other documentation was accepted.

I am filing this complaint regarding my wrongful deactivation from the Spark Driver platform (operated by Walmart and/or Delivery Drivers, Inc.).
My account was deactivated after a verification picture was submitted showing my husband instead of me — this was an honest mistake made during a photo verification prompt. I immediately attempted to explain the situation and submitted multiple appeals. I even participated in a pre-arbitration phone call to plead my case, but I was told the deactivation would remain in place, despite the fact that it was a one-time error and not an attempt at fraud or account misuse.
I had a good standing on the platform and relied on this work for income. Spark Driver has not provided a fair or reasonable opportunity to correct the error or present further evidence. Their policies appear overly strict with no flexibility for human error.
I am asking for your assistance in investigating this matter and urging Spark Driver/DDI to reconsider their decision or at least provide a transparent, fair process for resolving these types of issues.

I drove for Park for almost 2 years. Then got hired at Walmart so they deactivated my account. I'm no longer with Walmart so I appealed my account. It has been a month since appealing the deactivation the first time. I have done it 3 times and haven't received a text or email. Everytime I call I get different information. "It's can take 30 days", "wait 7 days", " doesn't take 30 days" " can escalate the issue" " can't escalate". They say there is no way to contact the appeals department. I don't understand.
